I had a pretty big scare yesterday. I was driving out to check out a good 13b for the rx7 I just got, and left for the shop ~ 1 1/2 hours away. I had a little over half a tank of e85 and figured I would be fine, and would stop if I needed too. By the time we arrived the gas light was on and I was searching for an e85 station. I only found one station(or so google said) in the area. We arrived only to find they did not carry e85. I was past "E" on the gas gauge and starting to get a bit worried. Well i plugged in the OFT to flash to 91 tune; Except that the OFT is throwing an error when it tried to connect to the ECU. I am very worried at this point. Instead of relying on google, I download an "alternate fuel" app. Come to find out, there was Kum & Go like 5 miles from the shop. The shop is now 20 minutes in direct opposite direction, and I don't have the e85 to get there. I ended up putting a gallon of 91 in the tank and babying the car to the e85 pump. Luckily she made it unscathed.

Moral of the story. Always fill up before a trip, and always make sure to test the OFT after an update to make sure it will connect. (Getting a list of e85 stations in the area before you leave wouldn't be a bad idea either.)

Edit: Got a tracking number for my Tail as turn module! Super excited to have reverse lights again.

I did a quick video after work. I'll get a better one with sunlight later. I still need to get the flasher relay correct. They still flash a bit quick.

My Girlfriend bought me the switchbacks and reverse lights as an early christmas present. These were a pain to install at 27°.

I also sold my rx7 yesterday, and today my friend decides he doesn't want his v1 Driveway labs diffuser that hadn't even shipped yet. So he offered it to me for a great price. That should be here the end of next week/beginning of the week after. I hope to purchase winter tires this Friday, possibly the front splitter as well. Depends on if I decide on the Sparco Terras for winter wheels or not.

More early Christmas presents!!:

Well it looks like this is going to be a very mild winter according to weather.com. It is suppose to be in the mid 40's to mid 50's most of December. So I am going to wait on the winter tires, and just order Wheels. They are on sale for a good price, so Now is the time. 17x9 et35

Edit: Ordered The wheels. Should be here Wednesday. I also have a driveway labs v1 diffuser on the way. Very excited for both the get here.

After doing some research, I think I am going to run Federal 595 RS-R in a 235/40 (which should equate to a 245/40, I wish they sold 245/40-17). They are great price, and they have a good review for the most part. Has anyone used these tires?

Present from the Girlfriend. Now To get the other pieces.

Still waiting to get tires, and Last I heard the Diffuser was being packaged up on Christmas Eve. I am hoping it ships this week. I am getting kind of impatient (as always)

Today is the day I have been waiting for. Pictures to come.

I am also looking at buying a set of one off brake ducts, I am trying to decide if they are worth the money. It's $220 for just the ducts, and the TF duct kits comes with everything for only a little bit more.

Even got a cool spacer made to keep the bolt from backing out:

Not sure if I have ever gotten this picture before, but this is how much larger the STI rotors are than the backing plate:

Also just placed a semi-large(for me anyway) order with ft86speedfactory.
