Just as another point of reference, I took off the 18x8 Enkei RSM9 wheels today (245/35 Michelin PSS tires) and put the stock wheels and tires back on. Wow, does that make a difference. The car feels so much more sprightly and peppy. The steering is also much more communicative and precise. It had a lot of slop with those meaty tires.

In fact, I'm now think I'm going to sell these wheels and tires (with only 600 miles on them) and get something closer to stock size.

Yea, after reading what you guys have posted and doing a bit more research, I'm thinking about trying to stay closer to stock as well.

I daily 17x9 et37 with 245/40/17.

This matches the stock diameter almost exactly, just like 2 inches wider.

Anyone who tells you 9" wheels are aggressive is a sissy.

If u can find my posts in the suspension section youll read all the bs i went through with 17x9 et45. I eventually got them to fit on stock suspension. They will fit but if you want any camber youll need a 3mm spacer. This is with et45, since these rims are already et42 then your running my setup up front already. Do note u wont be able to run front camber bolts. To do this a 3mm spacer might get u there. Or do the 14mm subaru bolt and ull net max -1.2 degrees, without this u might get -0.5 by loosening the shock bolts and letting the suspesion settle. Et42 ull have between 1/8-1/4 of clearance between the tire and spring perch.
