Track day requires you to have them down because they are not like the windshield, it can shatter.

Oh man I would love to make it up there for those. I doubt I can do both but I'll try to make it up for one or the other! Is the regional schedule for Packwood posted up somewhere?

It's on SCCA's website under Solo... all their tours/pros are listed on their website. You can also find non national events through SCCA's website browsing for their region.
