Titanium is used for weight savings. If you're going to argue that it's not going to be any bigger gains, might as well use a mild steel exhaust instead of that nice stainless setup...
It's absolutely expensive for a titanium exhaust. These shops just gouge people who are willing to pay for the bling.

Titanium exhaust systems for the GTR are in the 3-4K range... Gotta pay to play when it comes to exotic materials.
