Well? Did you pick it up? Did the drive home last an extra hour or two like mine? Pics, pics!

My car has arrived and it's just as awesome as I remember from that July test drive! What a sweet machine! Worth every minute of the wait!

I called my dealer Saturday, and he had nothing for me because the brand manager was off on holidays. Said call back Tuesday afternoon after he's back. I got messed up with the whole long weekend thing and Tuesday night came along before I realized I should have called.

I called today instead, and was told he had a meeting in 15 minutes, and would find the guy after the meeting, get info, and call me back. Never heard back all day.

I'm starting to get somewhat frustrated now. 95 days since I ordered, and still nothing.

Slarti, I was heading over to the Galaxy in Guelph on Tuesday and made it early, so I swooped through your work parking lot and saw an Argento out front, and yours in the back. I haven't seen an 86 on the road for a while now, and I was starting to forget how good they look in person. :P

That sucks thorlius. When my wife and I ordered our 2011 Sienna SE, Heffner screwed up their delivery date and ended up putting us into a rental for a week and a half (in a POS Dodge Caravan). I cannot say that they have been that great at estimating when their vehicles will be in (maybe it was a typo in my case). They took care of us, but, I gotta say, when I ordered my 2009 Corolla XRS from Cambridge, they gave me a date and hit the bulseye (I doubted they could do it on the date they said, but, they were spot on). My FR-S was slightly different, I had emailed around for a test drive and Guelph followed through on having one available and I pounced on it (after letting my wife drive it). I have been unimpressed by Heffner. They are big, but, by far the best car purchase experiences under the Toyota umbrella would have to be Guelph Scion. I hope there is a happy ending to your plight (no pun intended).

Argento? Must have been a customer here. We had one in for an oil change Tuesday.
We have the white manual one out front which is our demo. White Automatic arrived this morning, and is available. We also have a Black Manual coming in about 4 weeks which is also available. Both were sold, but "non-car-related" issues have made them back out.

I wish I could offer advice thorlius. All I can say is that it will be worth the wait.

The sky is falling, THE SKY IS FALLING!

Yesterday was a sad sad day. I knew it was just a matter of time, but you're never quite ready for it when it happens. Yes, it's true, Lenore has a dent. Still don't know how it happened, but my best guess is a very very small meteor struck my hood about two inches past the windshield. I can't think of any other explaination.

Yup... some rock, ventured from the Ort cloud a thousand years ago on a celestial journey to earth. Passing through the atmosphere at MACH 25 it almost completely burned up, but a stellar pebble remained to strike its heavenly blow leaving a small crater on the hood of my beloved Lenore.

Space rocks! Beware!

I got a ding in my drivers rear 1/4 not even three weeks after I picked mine up. Luckily the nice people at dent doctor fixed it up, no sign of it at all anymore. Not sure if there's a location out near KW, or something similar but if you're in the GTA they're fast and pricing is reasonable.

Maybe it was your demo and just really dirty, but I'm fairly certain it was silver and not white. It was plated (so probably not the demo).

Not that it adds much, but both dealerships I went to had permanent plates on their demos, both custom as well.

Latest update: I should realistically expect to get my car around Christmas. Seems my order is still in production (not yet built, VIN "imminent", though), despite being told previously that my car was either on a boat or at the port in BC (but not in the Toyota system yet) and that I'd soon have a VIN and ETA. I'm now told that my order is being filled as part of the extra production that was allocated to Canada. The car should be built at some point this month, and then it's expected to take around two months (or as fast as 6 weeks) to get here.

Maybe they'll cover it up in gift wrap and put a giant bow tie on it for when I take delivery.

First full day of driving was a blast!
Took a friend for a spin at work and she said it felt just like her husband's Porsche Boxster. Sweet!
Bubbles in my new tint and burny new car smell... it's all good.
