Like last time, with the "strut brace KW group ship" I'm sure they will request one single payment. I can do that, but I would need money from you all first. I would rather not have them shipped to the dealership this time. There are a few addresses that will work I'm sure.

Well... This is where we guess. I would much prefer to guess high rather than low, because I'm currently poorer than dirt and I'd rather not have to front any extra. I wouldn't want the box to show up with a few hundred in taxes due, while my pockets are empty.

Current exchange rate is $289.99 USD = $323.31 CAD plus tax = $365.34
Duty is a crapshoot. For six strut braces the shipping was $94USD from GrimmSpeed, GST/HST of $37.59CAD, and $9.95 Handling from Canada Post.

Shipping on a single GrimmSpeed pulley cover (which weighs almost nothing) was $32, and I had taxes, duty and handling on that one.

I'll wait to see what GrimmSpeed says about shipping before making a guess.

In the meantime, If you want one put your name on the list for the group buy, but don't put your name in the hat if it all hinges on getting a huge savings on shipping.

Sound like a plan?


Oh... and you have to pick it up from me instead of me carting it around in my trunk for 7 or 8 months. I won't name any names.

I'm buying regardless of doing it as a group or on my own. If I can gain an advantage by doing a group thing, I'm all for it.

I left the details at work, but we'll save about $15-20 each. Maybe more depending on taxation.


They can fit 4 in a box, and shipping will be $120 (30 each). I'm guessing we'll have about 8 in our order. I notice Andy's on the list now. Willie the Pimp has been waiting for it to come out, (phrasing...boom) but I know he was getting itchy to get something, so he may have got something else already.

This is what I've got so far.

We would have to ship these in two packages of 4 because of the size. Shipping for both will be right around $200 USD and individualy shipping per each intake comes out to be right around $40 USD. So there is about a $120 USD savings in the combined shipping FYI.

Well, originally I asked @GrimmSpeed what the cost would be for 8. GS Matt said it would be two boxes, with 4 in each, but I wonder if they could fit 6 into just one box to save a bit more shipping?

Nothing is shipping for a while yet, so still lots of time to find an extra two more (or 6 more) people. I'll be putting in the order around the 18th or 19th. I believe their goal is to start shipping in the last week of October. But, if the get them done early I'll post up a money request to get our order in earlier. I know that those of you, like me, can't wait to get this one on your car. Wish they could've been done a few weeks ago, so they'd be here for our track day coming up.

Speaking of which... Who all is coming on the 19th?

I booked a plant tour and invited my family, my parents and in-laws. If I had only known about track day sooner, but, I kinda have to be there seeing as I'm the Team Member that works there.
