I'd be shocked if that was for a set, Penske shocks are super high end for racing application.

...if he really accidentally gave the wrong pricing...then maybe we should order a couple "Sets" before they figure out the correct pricing...jk hehe.

I mean that's great and all, but I would take the marketing manager's word on pricing over the damper engineer's. And that might also be £2k as well. Not dollars since that's the UK website.

I think the assumption of Penske's being the best and most expensive shock in the universe that is unattainable by non-pro race teams is just an exaggeration by now and getting out of proportion honestly (especially on these forums since we have knowledgeable people here who track their cars).

I see plenty of users/owners and also many inexpensive used sets for sale upon a quick google search that results in many various forums, various makes of cars and different types of race apps.

...after looking at their catalog and pricings, I really doubt they are going to market/sell/make $8k+ introductory coilovers for a $25k BRZ/FRS... especially when their Corvette, S2000, Ford GT, Supra coilover sets aren't even that much.

Also...I noticed they clearly state whether or not it's "priced per corner" on some applications ...in the FRS/BRZ's case...they didn't write "priced per corner"

I could always be wrong though...I'll leave that to you guys to call them or not, lol

You bring up a lot of good points but considering RCE already called them about pricing, I think we're holding on to a broken dream.

Having said that, I'll call them myself tomorrow or next week. Maybe they'll even let me come over and have a look first hand since I live less than hour away from their headquarters in Reading, PA.
