Spell-check is a noun.

If you get the manual, spend the $75 or so and get the Perrin shifter bushing, and Perrin shifter pitch stop. Takes about 40 minutes to do both mods and it makes the shifter so much better.
Are they really selling that well? If so, that's fantastic - always good for all enthusiasts when sports cars are selling well. But I honestly don't see that many WRXs - what kind of sales figures we talking about?

I'm really liking the additions to the Nav package despite the much higher price tag. I was actually ready to buy a 15 WRX Limited with Nav last week, but someone signed the deal for it while I was about to go on the test drive. If only we didn't let the baby take a nap...lolz.
I'd strongly advise against the CVT...it's just not good. Car and Driver summed it up best when they said "if you select the CVT transmission on the WRX you get what you deserve".

Also, not sure what your long term plans for a WRX would be, but having a CVT transmission is going to hurt resale value down the road.

For anything but sedate driving, a CVT is just awful. Subaru needs a good dual clutch unit.

It's going to be a DD/family of 3 hauler and I'm planning on keeping it until it's impractical. Resale value isn't on my radar; utility is.

Sitting in traffic is 90% of my driving if not more.

Really the only people that use more than the standard ellipsis are teenage girls right?

Well as long as we don't delve into arguments on grandma and Semitics we are doing ok!

Clearly everyone is trading in their BRZs for Legacys. (Legacies?) Help me out here, Strat.

Yes, if you compare sales directly to the prior generation WRX over the last couple years you will see monthly sales are about double and the WRX is constantly listed as one of the fastest selling cars off dealer lots.

I think the inclusion of the CVT is helping sales, but they also dropped the hatch which accounted for 50% of WRX sales so it is impressive to see this car selling as well as it is.

STI sales are about 20% of total WRX sales as well.

No shock to see them going so fast.

I'm not a fan of the CVT either; in fact, my friend who works at the dealership (huge purist auto enthusiast that loves manual transmissions) said that he drove the CVT at one of the press release events or something similar, and it was better than he expected.

He didn't say it was great or amazing, but it exceeded his expectations. The WRX is already a pretty good all around car. Add an optional automatic transmission, and that many more people get drawn in.

I'm curious what the sales would look like if they brought the hatch back into the mix.

I'm still waiting on news for the new powerplant to make its way into the STI before I make the jump.
