@Dave-ROR
Something seems fishy around here. And you seem to be the most proactive (best- we all love you) moderator, so I suggest you take a look at this. |

Just read my trader rating review for the story.

For anyone not involved here are the highlights…
5-9-14 (Prepaying) Asked twice if the it was unmated. ScionFrsFan: “Do you have a manual or auto? You said it's unmated? You were able to erase your car file?” Csworldfan: “Manual. Yeah I unmated it. When you first hook it up it saves your cars rom, once you release the stock rom it erases all save files from your car. Makes it to where you can use it on another car.” ScionFrsFan: “So it basically brand new lol? There is nothing on the tablet?” Csworldfan: “That is correct. It does have the newer firmware though. But I don't see how that could be taken as a bad thing” 5/14/14 • Received OFT. • Device is still matted. Video recordings and pictures of matted device. After texting Csworldfan: He told me that after speaking with Vishnu; I still would be able to erase his information on my own. Not true. Robert@vishnu: “You will need to contact the seller and have the original file loaded back onto his car. After that, the (seller) will need go into OpenFlash Manager (computer software) and erase data. Once its erased and unmarried then is ready for resell. You will need to send the tablet back to the seller because at this point its likely he still has a tune file on his car. Even if you were to send it back to us we won't be able to do anything with it due to the fact that original file is not loaded back into the car. If you have any further questions you can email us at sales@vishnutuning.com.” After telling him that I had to ship the device back; he agreed to do whatever the necessary steps were to do a complete reset, then ship it back to me. However I was afraid that if I ship the device back, he could screw me over. He would have the OFT (That works for his car) and the money wanted there to be a third party involved, for protection. Therefore, I requested that he should buy the device back using PayPal. He didn’t want to do that. I was okay with this, but still wanted PayPal to be involved as a witness. So I opened a dispute with him, that way PayPal could see the messages and agreement we made, I wanted protection. After shipping the device back, he asked me to close the case. He wanted to use the money that PayPal froze on him. He told me that I could reopen the case after closing it, which is not true. After receiving the package he claimed that the box was empty and escalated the dispute into a claim; giving PayPal the power to come up with a resolution. After PayPal received all of my documents, PayPal closed the case in less than a day; declaring I would be receiving a full refund. PayPal: “We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your favor.You have indicated that a partial refund of $455.00 USD would be satisfactory. We were able to recover $455.00 USD and this amount has been credited to you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted. If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to recover the balance from the seller.” In conclusion, this was a terrible experience. I can’t claim that Csworldfan is a con artist, this could have been just terrible luck …. This is not my first transaction on FT86. Cross purchased a Unichip. (PayPal) CatDaddysBBQ purchased a Work Ab-m exhaust. (Face to face transaction.) Both of them were happy buyers and I’m sure they would vouch for me.

I also recently purchased from him(a header). Still going to give him the benefit of the doubt here but so far he has said multiple times that it would be shipped out the next day and now is ignoring messages.
If need be I'll just have my credit card company have Paypal pull the money back from him. Thankfully they're one of the few companies that actually go above and beyond to find/prosecute the seller if requested. |
