Yeah this thread gives me a lot of hesitation about using the forums for transactions.

I'd expect the mods to have done a better job; specifically with banning the scammer and removing the scammer's negative feedback from one of his victims.

What's up with the mods around here? Very inactive or what?

Yea. I mean look at the front page, hasn't been updated for eons. Very inconsistent mod rulings, nobody but guff and dave seem to even have a pulse. Inconsistent rulings and bans.

But as a whole, I wouldn't be afraid of using these forums for transactions. Just make sure their itrader rating/feedback from other users are in line with what they're asking you to do. Any trade contains risk. It's just how much risk is one willing to take in getting a favorable price or bid.
