I live in Canada and have driven in 15cm snow storms. No issues as long as you have proper winter tires. This whole week, we've had 5-10mm of rain w/ heavy fog consistently and with the stock summers that come with the brz. I have had no issues. With proper tires and a good knowledge of safe driving, you'll be fine. The only time I lost control was when I first picked up my car. It was raining really bad and I took a corner way to quick(70+ in a 60). Almost curbed it. Never again

@chanomatik is up in Alaska and I'm pretty sure you'd need to pry his BRZ from his cold, dead hands.

Bingo!

Running stock size Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires and drove in crazy heavy rain up Don Valley Parkway in Toronto at high speeds 2 weeks ago, car was really stable (VSC did not come on) while the rear suspension had very good communication (I was quite surprised but my setup isn't stock).

You will need dedicated snow tires with this car even in light snow conditions (even with VSC it was a handful for me with the all season tires).

I'm in MO and we get a full four seasons here. I drive on stock tires in the summer and Blizzaks in the winter and I haven't had any issues. I am cautious when the roads are very wet, but I'm that way with any car in that situation.

Car did great through the super crappy winter we had here. I never got stuck anywhere and car was very stable the majority of the time. I had Goodyear ultra grip ice WRT for the winter, and still running the stock tires for the summer till I wear them out. Need to save up for a second set of wheels though, maybe Sparco Asseto Gara when I have the money.

I know, right? I've wanted this car since the first concept debuted. Life got in the way - now it might be time.

Its all down to the tires. The car is very communicative and predictable, that never changes, but your tires need to be suited to the conditions.

I drove all winter on 16" Michelin X-Ice 3's, had no issues - and Atlantic Canada got destroyed by winter this year.

I daily drive my BRZ to Seattle. It's actually very good in the rain and it hydroplanes much less than other cars I've driven. I think it's because it's so low to the ground, I'm not too sure. I DD'd a 90's Nissan sentra and also a 2010 Dodge Challenger. Both handled worse in the rain and puddles than my BRZ. It is easy to break the rear end free taking a corner fast in the rain, but that is to be expected. I've never lost traction in it without doing it on purpose.

Thanks. What tires are you running?

I daily the brz with stock tires, and it handles better in rain than my old civic commuter with all seasons. TCS is magic of the gods.

I live on the east side and commute to Seattle everyday. I've had it since October and I drove it everyday minus one or two times when it snowed. Don't have a single complaint, handles better on the highway in heavy rain than my 4runner does. I'm too much of a ***** to test it in the snow however. This is my first so called "enthusiast" car but so far I'm having a blast with it even in the daily commute.

I'm just using the stock tires man. I haven't however driven my BRZ in the snow yet. Just very stormy rain and wind. If I was driving it in the snow I'd be sure to pick up some winter tires
