Seems that there isn't an owners thread for jdl turbo so may as well be this one. I just place a deposit for my kit and I can't sleep about it, trying to install it in my head

. It's a base kit nothing too custom, running under 10 psi. Any installation advise you guys could share. I read somewhere that the manifold nuts should install a specific way or it could touch the block? I just recently installed a grimmspeed extra thick manifold gasket, do you think that could be reused? What tuners are you guys using?

Is it a remote tune, their flash n go or dyno? I'll be doing remote since Miami isn't populated with good frs/brz tuners.

It's a remote flash and go, but I got it on the dyno a couple of weeks ago.

James in Orlando does a really good job.

Indeed he does, i have an NA tune from him. Just wanted to see what others running the kit were using. He has tuned various turbo kits including his own.

Who's background, delicious? Good to hear from an actual user that the flash and go's are working as advertised. Wondering how the idle and partial throttle are on those. I'll be running wastegate spring pressure.

I've been reading his thread and I've leaned he's always doing revisions and sending them out to existing customers. Good to know, with that kind of service his tunes have to be on point.

Does the kit come with an intake or just a filter making a catch can necessary?

Catch cans are always necessary. I have the borg warner turbo kit from them.

What spring you have in your BOV, any issues with idle? Whew do you have the BOV vacuum from? Trying to gather some info for my install. So far I need a catch can. I was debating if clamping that purge solenoid but didn't really wanted to remove the manifold. I think with the AC compressor off I should be able to get to it.
