I think the Cusco one is solid. Hollow for the rear only it seems...
Hopefully the aftermarket will pump something out soon!

Whiteline will have bars soon but they are traditionally solid as well. Maybe Strano is working on a hollow front?

Camber bolts in, alignment done (-1.5f, 0 toe front and .25 total toe rear).

Played on concrete today and roped a better driver into doing fun runs; the only time the rear got loose is when the tires were simply overcooked. We ran the snot out of it, actually -- fastest runs come right as the rear steps out. My codriver was a little faster, but we were both about a second faster in the FRS than he could manage in his Miata.

The aligment did improve turn-in quite a bit, and now there's a little lift-throttle action going on. But still not tail-happy.

Times were right on top of STX ....

What tires are you running des? I'm at .20 total toe rear and thinking of upping it a bit. Same front specs as you.

What are you running for pressures?

I'm on 235/45/17 Star Specs -- a lot more tire than most people are running -- but the rear really settled down and tire temps evened out when we dropped them to 30.

What tires are you on?

1) A 245/40/17 A6 fits with room to spare on a +42 17x7. If Hoosier made a 255/40/17, I wouldnt be afraid to try that.

2) The same set of 245s (brand new, wrapped in storage totes) fits in the back seat area with room for a driver, passenger, and as much stuff as you can cram in the trunk.

3) The car is wonderfully balanced stock and tends toward the loose side of neutral, especially in quicker transitional elements. Sweepers are blissful. Slaloms could be improved, but are great for a stock car.

4) OEM crash bolts and a front bar will be magical. (I think)

Any pictures of the 245/40/17 mounted on the 7 inch wide wheel?

I'm on the 215 rs3. 34f/30r. During my runs today the air temp was 103 f, which is why I didn't go with the Dunlop, but maybe I should and just water the piss out of them since they oversize well.

Even kooks get greasy at a certain point, and 103 may be it. Wow!

But I think a 215 just isn't enough tire.

I'm a big fan of the Dunlops' progressive nature -- it seems to complement the FRS' handling especially well. The car practically broadcasts what's coming next. The kooks tend to grip really well right until they don't. The Star Specs have a lot of in-between. For a mid-packer like me, that's important.

Yesterday was cloudy (even misty) and about 60; we started watering after second runs. But the turnaround was pretty short, and by fourth runs the backs were shot mostly because of 5K launches.

Sure:



At 35 psi on concrete, I started to get some serious edge wear on the fronts. It seems better at 40 psi. Transients are also much crisper.

Yes, I have. The front maxed out at about -1* camber on each side.
