Picking up hks hipermax sps price point is amazing for the specs... Only downside is probably not rebuildable in the us

Gotta learn to do it yourself! Can't be THAT different than motorcycle forks, I hope that is the case because my coilovers also have zero US support.

@jblmr2, John, assuming vision improves after ? treatment, which AROO group are you entering on 10/5? It would be fun to run together.
I'll run intermediate. Last year I was signed up for intermediate and switched to novice because there were so many cars in intermediate. Mistake...first couple of sessions were parades. Last year there were 2 crashes in the advanced group. A Ford GT hit the wall exiting T2 in the first session on the first lap (damp track cold tires). Corvette ZR1 lost his brakes in the second session in T11 and hit the tire barrier in front of the wall at pit lane. Guys be careful out there. Make sure everything is working before you got at it full speed.

I talked with that GT40 owner, Don, after unpacking and before the first stint. He said that nearly 25% of all 4,000 produced have wrecked and about 10% totaled, then cautioned me to take it easy with the cool, damp track.

Then he went out and stuffed his into the wall on lap 1. Poor guy, I was so embarrassed for him and don't think he returned to the pits afterward while the flatbed loaded his car.

Not Don's car, his was repairable, but 1 of the 10% (latest is 12%-14%) totaled:

But the Novice group became all 86s by the end of the day guess we aren't fun to drive with cause none of us can catch each other

Wasn't suggesting the 86's were a problem or that they weren't fun but one session doesn't a day make. I had some issues with others not giving point by's. Pretty common in novice groups.

yeah the slower cars(around turns) definitely made the novice group hard cause they just pulled on me in the straights

HPDE Group on CSCC days is where it's at. My first time in the that group was August 7th and it was fun, not a slow person/car in the bunch.

I just checked the registered people for Saturday and see there is a McLaren running in the Novice/Intermediate group.

Denise will be heading out to the track around lunch time. If everyone is interested she could stop and pick up pizza or Jimmy Johns. I think Jimmy Johns would be a good thing and everyone interested can just let me know what you want and bring the appropriate amount of $.

Also, I bring a canopy and a cooler so just bring a camp chair and you can use the shade and space in the cooler. This way we all don't need to prepare a ton of stuff. I'll bring plenty of bottled water for everyone as usual.
