by the time they release any real upgrades to the BRZ, my '14 will be done. Only thing that would be missing is the factory warranty :P

And you'd be happier anyway because you did the upgrades YOU wanted to and most likely did most of the work yourself. Also, you didn't finance the upgrades, so that's less money spent overall too. Overall satisfaction is greater, uniqueness is higher, and you paid less.

Doing the work yourself > waiting for factory turbo.

As long as the base engine, chassis, and suspension design is solid, you've got a potential winner. Just apply upgrades and enjoy.

I enjoy the upgrades and mods MORE when I'm the one who did the work instead of paying someone else to do them. Except for certain things (like machine work on a block or heads or something like that), doing the work yourself is MUCH more satisfying and creates much more enjoyment per modification than only throwing money at someone and saying "install this". You're basically paying them to enjoy wrenching on YOUR car. I'd rather pay someone a little bit of money to assist me in doing the mods, if I need professional help at all. But I need to be the one doing the majority of the wrenching.

which is fine for me, any real performance upgrade would bump the price too high for my entry.

I do like the three cosmetic changes though (if they happen in the US).

May be it will look similar to the Subaru Levorg seats and panels? (See Levorg pictures below).

You can get Galaxy Blue if you don't like the new color.

The stitching looks good. I am just worried there will be too much blue Alcantara in the seats.

In the BRZ, you don't press that button anyway. (keyless foo! Get in the new millenia)

So am I...
I'm guessing it'll be like the red on the seats in the FR-S but I wonder what shade of blue it would be...

I guess that's true. Still... it looks like some young kid designed it and was like, "Look! I made the Subaru logo the unlock button! ISN'T THAT COOL!?"
