DD for me too, about 35min / trip, and if anyone cares about gas mileage, 27 mpg, rides comfy and corners nicely. I thought about AT too but i just haven't had an AT that worked on the track, they all drived me crazy. I'd take dual clutch sequential box over MT over AT, but since it's not avail...

I'm getting about 29.4mpg on my 6mt. Example 330 miles driven when I filled up, it took 11.2 gallons to fill up. So I figured that's about how much gas I wasted. So 330/11.2=29.4

I'd suggest test driving both AT & MT if you're having any doubts. |

No regrets on the AT at all. It's an excellent auto transmission.

I was only able to test drive an Auto before putting down my deposit on a 6MT. It felt good for an Auto and didn't argue with me about choosing of gears. However I still did not feel as good as my last manual sports cars I owned.
Something about the clutch and shifter just make it feel more like you are controlling things. If it was a true DSG or SMG tranny than maybe. My other issue with the auto is the extra drivetrain loss and resulting power loss. You are taking a car that is not a power beast and handicapping it. The other thing is laziness, which I know will happen because it happen to me. I had an 03 M45 which had a descent sport mode on the auto tranny and i used it twice I think. You end up saying why should I shift when it does it for me? |

It's my daily driver and I have no regrets, in fact just the opposite.

daily driver, occasionally drive through LA/OC traffic.
Love M/T still. Met a guy with the A/T and showed me how fast it shifts - honestly thought it acted like a CVT both up and down shifting - but I still would get the M/T

Yeah since there is no shifting there is just continuous power; I watched my friend use the paddle shifting in the A/T and it felt so smooth, felt a lot like a CVT - I didn't feel any shifting.

The clutch is pretty soft and the catch point is pretty high so it's pretty daily friendly IMO
