Michael's 2014 Whiteout Scion FRS Build
After having been a member of these forums for over two years, I finally got around to purchasing my own 2014 Whiteout Scion FRS. It seemed appropriate for me to create my own progress thread as my FRS will be undergoing various modifications. I previously had a 2005 Toyota Celica GT that I heavily modified so many folks over on newcelica.org know me by the username 'AFMichael'. Much like a thread I had for the Toyota Celica, I will be updating this one with new information and pictures of the car's progress over time. To start with, I purchased my FRS on March 20th, 2014 with only 265 miles on the odometer and picked it up on the following Monday after it arrived at the dealership. The first thing to do was to have paint protection film (XPEL) and window tint (Suntek) installed. After all, Florida isn't so kind with the sand and dirt being blasted into the paint on highways nor the high temperatures in the summer. I went over to Auto Paint Guard in Tampa, FL as they are reputable, experienced and have quality service based on others I know. This is the second car in which I had them install window tint and paint film protection and I highly recommend them to anyone else around the Tampa area.

Congrats on the purchase! Post some pic's up!
You already have a lot of plans. And weird, I've been looking at the ES6's for a long time too lol. |

Little update. Ordered some more stuff and am waiting for them to arrive (coilovers, shark fin antenna, lug nuts, etc.). My wheels have arrived and I dropped them off at Engine Armor Coatings in Tampa to be powder coated. I also installed the K&N Drop-in filter and Perrin Inlet Hose today since I just passed the 1000 mile break-in mark.
Pictures will come eventually since I no longer have my Nikon D7100 (sold it). I plan on getting a different camera eventually and I'll update this thread with it!

Received my BC Racing BR Extreme Low, 10k spring rates, coilovers yesterday and installed them today. Maybe a 1.5" drop atm but I will be letting it settle and then dropping it more before I get an alignment done. Hopefully my wheels will be done being powder coated very soon as well.

Picked up my wheels from the shop on Tuesday. I had the spokes powder coated platinum black with a semi-gloss.

I've just slowly been editing the timeline at the bottom of the first post with what I've done. I still don't have an adequate camera for good pictures right now. I'm waiting on delivery of my Eastwood fender roller and Continental tires atm.

Here's a small update...this is right after rolling my fenders. Car is still propped up on jack stands so clearance isn't true. Waiting on my hubcentric rings and Muteki lug nuts then I'll go lower with the wheels on.

I lowered the car a little this morning and had an alignment done. I want to go lower but waiting until I get camber bolts for the front and rear LCAs so that I can adjust the camber a bit more for better clearance. I'll post a picture when I get home from work tonight.
For the time being, I am doing a bit of research on what camber bolts and rear LCA that I should get. OEM camber bolt (SU003-02818) should suffice from what I am reading or should I pay the extra for Whiteline's KCA416? Lastly, is anyone having any issues with the revised version of SPC's rear LCA?
