Perrin Catback Exhaust too quiet, suggestions?

**Sound clip update**


So I finally got around to installing my catted FT86 UEL headers. Here is a small sound clip. Not sure if this is the sound you folks are going for? If so, here are the mods I am currently running:


Perrin 3" resonated exhaust
Perrin CAI
FT86 catted UEL headers

And maybe some of you are right, maybe I'm just too accustomed to the sound as I drive a lot :P I'll definitely consider all the suggestions here however, and I appreciate it very much. I am in California so headers etc won't pass smog.

Californian here too, planning on getting FT86SF UEL catted header in the future. Just gonna swap back to stock for smog check in 2019.

Run and set of catless header on the car and that will clean up the sound. The Perrin CBE with resonator sounds really good with a catless setup.

I just posted a sound clip of my BRZ with FT86 catted UEL headers. This definitely gives the car a bit more "Get up n go;" also, the sound is fukn perfect. The boxer rumble really gets people thinking a WRX is coming around the corner. I love the sound, t's just the right tone, and it is not overbearingly loud either. Here, check it out!

What I ended up doing is selling my Perrin and just changing my CBE to a Greddy Evo3, and I have the silencers taken off. It was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't have been more happier with the Greddy evo3 CBE

Cool...and thanks! BTW, do you have any sound clips? I would love to hear your setup. Either way, I'm glad to hear you got the sound you wanted!
