Hey Guys,

I've attached 2 pics of the exhaust. Everything seems to be running fine, but I think I need to take it to a shop or someone really experienced to fix a minor issue.

The right side is vibrating while the left side is not, and as you can see from the attached pictures the left side sticks out more than the right.

The guy that installed it for me was not very experienced and at first it was rattling and the positioning/alignment of the exhaust was much worse, took him a while to get it to where its at now. It no longer rattles and the car sounds/runs good, except the positioning is a little off and the vibration issue.

Any suggestions on an affordable place that will be able to take a look at the positioning/alignment for me, and to see why the right side is vibrating after the engine has warmed up? Already spent $900 on the exhaust and $100 for the install, so I don't have much left to spend obviously, but if I could get this minor problem sorted out at an affordable price that would be awesome.

Thanks guys!

Not to be mean or anything, but seriously it's something you probably can take care of yourself, even without a jack. Hell, and axleback swap can be done without jacks! The V band clamp makes adjusting a cinch, and make sure those washers that prevent the exhaust from sliding off the hangers are tightened too.

I think an easy solution is to bring it to Pit Row and throw it up on the lift and just fix it yourself.

Also forgot to mention, it's a pretty common issue I've noticed - a lot of exhausts on the FR-S/BRZ do not line up properly. Try turning the short bent pipe after the axleback and before the midpipe. It's a matter of loosening the v band clamps and rotating it. Don't secure everything until you've aligned it the way you want. Trust me, it's not going to be perfect. I've had two different exhaust systems from two different brands, and they both didn't line up despite my best efforts. As for vibrations you might have something loose. Check to make sure all the little bits and pieces are tightened up. Where's the sound coming from?

Vouch for Auto Innovations. I live in Emeryville, but I've always gotten my tires and alignment done here with all of my past cars. Make a reservation ahead of time.

just like @leicaboss said just take it to pit row on lafayette, lift it and take a few minutes to line it up and make sure its even.

I have a full Perrin headerback system. I can't comment on the vibrations you're seeing since you don't have a video up. In order to get the tips aligned, you need to loosen the two v-band clamps on the s-pipe, and rotate the s-pipe a bit until the tips align. The system is able to fit perfectly if you do it right.
