Anytime you ever back out of a parking spot or space anywhere... Also, for passing inspection you need to have working reverse lights.

I'd be more worried about not having them, someone smashing into me while I'm backing up, ruining my car, and getting sue'd because I didn't have working reverse lights.

Please guys, troll elsewhere. I asked for a suitable replacement, IE leaving the lights intact and removing the red "V" as instructed. If I wanted to spray paint it black, I would.

Even if there was a housing that fit, or came close to fitting, that was the reverse lights only it would look much better.

You could probably just use ABS plastic and cut to size/heat/bend how you wanted it to fit the space. Or 3M it over the factory piece, or even with cutouts for the reverse light part.

To be fair, the title and your posts ask how to remove the reverse lights.

Maybe you should clarify your original post which implies you want to get rid of the entire reverse lamp assembly, not "leaving the lights intact"

Don't see any clear reverse lamp lenses available for the FRS. Some people have tinted the entire assembly red to remove the red triangle if that works do for you.

I like the triangle… Just get a fog light conversion for it, it will look nice.

You could always have it shaved off. If you are worried about being legal, you should only need a white light emitted when the car is in reverse. You could do a small led strip on the license plate or something.

Just installed the Intec Japan tail lights that have the reverse lights inside the of them. So i'll be removing the triangle bar and replacing with a black wire mesh. Hoping it'll act similar to the Golden Eagle diffuser holes on civics. My bumper is a big parachute with the Tomei 60R hanging out back there.
