still has that distintive subie rumble though , just not as much though (also makes the exact same noise when the secondary air pump kicks on)

Update time! Finally broke down and purchased the clear side markers and chrome turn signal/side marker bulbs. I also installed my @BilletProShop short shifter - love it.

How does the BPS short shifter feel? I was considering it but then I was put off by the lengthy install process.

It feels great. The install isn't that bad, it took me about 1.5hrs. I took my time taking the interior panels off as I didn't want to damage anything. That damn pocket below the HVAC controls was a pain though, it feels like you're going to break it when pulling it out.

Long Overdue Updates

I've been quietly working on the car, doing little things here and there. Sorry for the number of large pictures.

2012-11-23 - Installed my Crawford AOS and some noname engine bay dress up bolts I had laying around. I wanted to get some longer tubing so I can run the lines the way I wanted, so intake manifold cover had not been installed yet.

2012-11-30 - Installed my new red lockout from @BilletProShop.

2012-12-01 - Met up with some friends in Cary, NC for Cars and Coffee, then went to a parking deck for some pictures. There were two BRZs there and an FR-S IIRC, I didnt get to talk to the owners though as the meet was huge thanks to the gorgeous weather.

On the way home the next day I broke 17k miles. I dont have my TPMS sensors installed, so thats why the light is on.

2012-12-08 - I rerouted the tubing for the AOS, flashed a new tune (v1.09) and reinstalled the stock airbox (huge difference over the Airaid). The car pulls much stronger in the midrange now.

While reinstalling the stock airbox I modded the snorkel a bit to give it a larger mouth.

2012-12-17 - I installed my final First 86 gift from Scion.

All in all, Im still loving the car. She needs a bath though, which I hope I can do tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Say that box is really neat. Not a bad little gift. I really should have signed up to be a first 86'er. Oh well, snooze you lose. Nice that they had such a cool promo.

I am a bit behind the curve, any details on your tune? How are you liking it? Before I sold my Si I put it back to stock (namely the header was biggest difference) and was surprised how much slower it was, about comparable to the FR-S. Hopefully a header/exhaust/ and tune will have good yields on this car.

I'm running Visconti's v1.09 and I'm loving it. The car pulls much harder vs the stock map. It's the way the car should've come from the factory. I really wish we had e85 locally though. I haven't played with the extra features in it though (traction control, flat foot shifting, etc).

I've got the header back which feels like it gave the car a few more horses but not nearly as much as the tune. And I'm holding off on a header since I'm not sure if I'm going to supercharge it or turbo it. The AVO kit is very appealing though.
