Yeah. That's definitely one of the bargain leaders just over $100 per tire. 2lbs. heavier that the PSS though.

Also came across Nitto Invo. Has good reviews. Closer to the performance of the PSSs they say. It's suppose to be a quiet running tire. Much cheaper, too. Unusual tread pattern. Still heavier than a PSS.

PSS tires have better wet performance than anything else out there...not that we are having a lot of rain these days...but, wet traction is a big factor for me in a summer tire. I want grip on wet pavement. Youngest son just got some PSS on his GTI and he & I do likes um a lot. Traction is awesome. We are both spoilt rotten I guess.

The rs3s I have on my car are much better in the rain than the stock tires so I am sure anything in this class will be an upgrade.

Never driven of the PSSs but I hear good thinga

Don't let this happen to you folks. We had a pretty crazy night. Pics are of two different MVAs both resulting in pretty serious injuries.
Be safe out there.

YOu know how they feel, if you dont remember, come for a ride! Also where you getting them at? Maxx's was a great place and they babied my wheels so not to scratch them, when he saw what i wanted installed he was like, oh crap, i only trust one guy to install those, let me get him, and they did everything like they were walking on eggshells.

Interesting. The criteria might be different between classifications on those TireRack ratings then. Pays to look at people's comments on particular tires for sure. RS3s are very popular and liked esp. for autox/track usage! Read where they were out of stock for awhile due to popularity!! There are lots of choices/categories out there and boils down to how much ya want to spend and what kinda deal you can get for the tire that best suit purpose...past brand experience, etc. Thanks for the feedback!

I recognize one pic Joey posted from news this AM from an accident caused by a wrong way driver. 21 yo chick was cut out of that car with jaws of life and she is serious cond. but likely gonna be OK. There was several grizzly motorcycle accidents last nite, too. Friggin' war zone out there at times for sure. Vaya con Dios.

@Got3n
I remember that test drive ride and have driven w/them on the GTI. Yeah. Plan to check Maxx's out next week when lug nuts and rings arrive. The Discount Tire on 1604 was the same way with son's PSS as he bought expensive rims and brought them in...they put their best man on it and he was awesome. They have a nice piece of equipment there that barely touches the wheel. DBC Tuning uses them on their exotics. We dropped Berk's name when we went in there and got treated real good, too. Whoever price matches a $$$ amount on the PSSs I found online will likely earn my bidness. It's all the add-ons at Discount that runs up the price though! Would be nice if Michelin had a rebate going right now but, they don't. Did you switch over your TPMS w/o any issues...did you have to return to Maxx for programming?
