I have front struts.....going rate is $75 each. And you can keep the springs because I'm not taking them off :p (Help me start building funds for my LS1 swap.)

I noticed you have the WHITELINE KDT922... How much improvement did you feel in cornering/drive. I saw the video they have online, but I'd rather much have someone that has them installed tell me if they're worth getting..

I've also thought about their transmission bushing and possibly switching my rear shifter bushing... But I've been told drive feel gets a bit rough since the bushings are more stiff...
Anyone?

Good to see someone else up at annoying hours, I am on call this week...so disaster.
Anyways, I have a buddy in Colorado that has a Perrin transmission/Cusco transmission collar support and the Perrin rear shifter bushing as well. In my opinion, its not noisy per say. I def think there is more vibration though, not too much for a daily driver though I thought. Really tighten things up well though and smoothed them out. Specially between 1-2 and 2-3, 2-1 during those cold mornings/startups

Hey Joey! Yeah, glad you asked this question. First, you have to be very careful when installing this bushing kit if you are going to DIY. Once you get the upper disk in place when doing the rears....make sure the whole assembly is back up towards the body as far as it will go. (I eventually used a small spare jack.) Finger start the bolt and make sure, repeat...MAKE DAMN SURE you have it going in and threaded correctly. If you just shove it up and ratchet wrench it thinking the threads will connect; you will strip the seemingly soft threads on the body of the car (like I did on the first one) and then have to go out and buy a tap to clean out the damage!!! Huge pain in the a$$ for sure. I didn't see the threads/comments on ft86 about this issue until after I did it. Ugh. Pays to do research...like you are doing now!

As far as how this install affects the vehicle, it does tighten up the rear end as it removes some of the play on the axle assembly. Where you once had some rubber isolation/damping connected to the body of the car.....it is more of a solid connection with the 922s on there. The result in handling is that you now feel more connected to the rear end say when swinging around a corner and giving it gas. Closer to a solid axle American car feel in a way. On the last Twisted Sis run it felt a bit more twitchy when doing some high speed curves when nearing the limits...before entering the "drifting" zone so to speak. It made it feel like a different animal in that regard compared to earlier runs on the 3Sisters. Some may like that feel....I did not. I think there is better "control" in this situation without the 922s on the bushings (speculation - maybe because it would allow more body lean or twist for better balance - not as sensitive maybe? - more forgiving of driver input?). As a daily driver, the bushings make the rear of the car more bouncy when running at freeway speeds because of the lack of damping. For an autocross application, I think they would be of benefit especially with the addition of better rubber on the wheels. Also, these made the popping noises more apparent on the rear shelf deck that I had never really noticed before.

For me, I'm taking them off next week. I like the cornering feel for "city hot rodding" but, I prefer a more comfortable ride when cruising on the road as I'd rather do without the slight bouncy bouncy feel. For drifting, you'd probably want these. I'll sell um used for $30 OBO if anyone is interested in trying them out!!!

I talked to lonestar dyno and this is the response i got.

Anyway, yes I would LOVE to host a day for y'all. The FR-S/BRZs have really caught my eye, it would be nice to get y'all in here to see what they can do. My rate for a dyno day is $60/car. That gets you 3 base runs for each car. My dyno can measure hp and torque (of course) along with boost psi and air/fuel ratios. All that info will be printed out on the graph for each car. Many shops in our area do not have the boost capability and if they do they charge extra a lot of the time to take those reading. Not sure if any of you guys have forced induction yet, just letting you know.

In addition if you can guarantee at least 12 cars or more I will provide food/drinks. That usually consists of pizza and ice chests full of water and soft drinks. Obviously other arrangements can be made depending on you needs.

What day/month are you thinking? Let me know.
So who is down and when do we want to do this?

Down for it! But let's plan in advance... My schedule its kinda strict, so unless I'm off or have enough time to find cover, I can't make it!
