I might got you covered (after I for sure take delivery in So. Carolina) but, it's gonna be the first car on the next allocation! Likely, early 2013.
Waiting is a bitch, ain't it?

I'll be in town tomorrow to pick up my plates and registration and to see if they can figure out why my third brake light isn't working. Is anything going on car wise?

Would be nice if more of the lucky ppl with an 86 car would be there next time - or, organize an alternate gathering of just FR-S AND BRZs somewhere!!!! I'd show up but, alls I have in the way of my BRZ at present are the side fender inserts, a couple of Subaru OEM oil filters and a pair of 4" OD Borla exhaust tips to use until I do an exhaust mod! I wonder if all this counts?

So, to answer your question, ricepuddin...hell yes, it counts! I can't wait for a local excursion or group drive to somewhere takes place for us to have some fun together.

Prolly the first things to ask everyone would be who would be "IN" for a group meet sometime? What side of town? What day of week and time? ....then, pick a location to try out. I think some of the Austin folks gather frequently at the Fry's parking lot. Also, there are some local Subaru WRX folks who meet regularly....don't know any details or if they would even be acceptable for BRZs and FR-S to join them. Anybody want to chime in? Ricepuddin and I feel like outsiders here!!! Not sure if we even count.

yep, just getting back from over seas so plenty of driving time. I should be out there as I'll be on leave and I say we all get something together sometime for just Toyobaru, also a run through Harris Hills would be nice. How long has yours been on order?

Thanks for your service to our country. Been there done that, too!

Yeah. A few more months there will be more people w/Toybarus in these parts so likely something will come together by then. Definitely want to visit Harris Hills!

Ordered initially at North Park on 3/21 but, ended up as #11 of a 10 car allocation which means that Subaru won't even fill the order until the next allocation comes down sometime around November - they don't even have the VON # yet. That sucked, so just a week ago came across someone backing out of their pre-order at a dealer in So. Carolina and jumped on it right away with a deposit so I now have another VON #. This car was ordered in April and #1 on list at the dealer. I have my fingers crossed that it arrives by September as they did tell me it would be sometime before November. So, anybody's guess at this point until SOA or dealer provides a firm target month/date.

I am looking forward to the long drive home! Also, thinking about detouring and checking out the Tail of the Dragon up in North Carolina / Tennessee.

Looks like it would be a fun drive even though out of the way of coming home! Gotta get that engine broken in though.

$500 Refundable dep. @ MSRP w/no port options or dealer add-ons. VON date of Mar. 21. Spose I can go ahead and buy it and add a $3000 market adjustment like Gillman does!

I heard that in Japan, there is about a 9 month wait for a BRZ ordered right now. Had I known in January what I know now about vehicle availability; I would have been at the dealer's doorstep at 9AM on Mar. 1st! I wasn't paying close enough attention.

"It is important dealers fully understand the order filling process as you submit your sold orders. In summary, allocations for the 7 months May-November have been developed for each dealer. Fulfillment of a dealer’s allocation quantity will be spread basically pro-rata over the 7-month period and will not accelerate based on the number of sold orders submitted nor will it be reduced based on the number of sold orders other dealers submit. The most important factor is for individual dealers to ensure their sold orders are submitted in the order with which they want them filled. SOA will look to fill the oldest sold order within a dealer’s allocation from the pool of cars available irrespective of when that order came in versus any other dealer’s order." -Subaru of America

I was just at North Park today and they said after the first four came in real quick they haven't really gotten any updates for the rest of their orders.
