The general consensus is that EL gives more power at the top end, while UEL gives more at the low end. For a street car I'd personally choose UEL but it's your call.
We have a few tricks up our sleeves... this isn't the first time we've done FI

We have the EL on our car, but the UEL is far more popular due to eliminating the torque dip and giving you more torque at a RPM range where you'll be most of the time. With FI, the torque dip isn't an issue to begin with, so it becomes more of a sound preference thing.

We went EL because we're primarily concerned with high RPM output. If we want power, we'll downshift, even on the street, but not everyone drives like that.

How much louder would an uncatted UEL header add on an otherwise stock exhaust ?

With the OEM front pipe, it is still quiet (but only a hair louder). With both cats deleted, you will get ratting from the muffler at 2000-3000 RPMs, due to the muffler not being designed for that type of flow.

Stop by and take a ride in our car; that's the exact setup we're running at the moment.

I'd love to come by for a ride, but I am a long ways away in MN.

I guess I am really driving in the upper RPM's if I want power anyways. I had this thought that the UEL may help out with the parasitic loss from the extra load from the supercharger at lower rpm's. I will have to rethink this.

How much power do you think the equal length adds to the JRSC if all else is otherwise stock?

By the way, my package from you came today!

Now in respect to FlexFuel/E85, you will be able to run E85 on stock injectors on the base Jackson Racing Pulley with a stock clutch. Though everything is at the limit, clutch, injectors, etc.... Once you install headers, exhaust, smaller pulley, you will more than likely need to upgrade everything.

Thanks for the input Bill. I don't plan on going to the corn juice though. I would consider it but it is not available anywhere near the only track in MN (BIR).

By itself, it's hard to say, but we know from experience that a Tomei header and Front pipe combined (with a joint pipe) was worth around 25whp on the dyno with a track tune (we don't run dyno queen tunes) on CA 91 octane.
