That is actually a BETTER torque curve than the turbo when it was a 2.0l. Just goes to show you it is about the whole picture, not just the sum of its parts. Hard to believe it is only churning 3-4 psi by 4500 rpm!

and no added complexity and the bad effects of turbo (heat, boost issues etc) is a plus.. what kind of boost the car is making? I've looked at the dyno sheets on your website but couldn't see it

Dropped my JRSC parts off at my tuner this afternoon. So excited. Many thanks to CSG for helping me make my decision. :-)

I have finally uploaded my pictures taken during installation: here.
The installation took about 1.5 days. I'm not a mechanic, so had to search for some more detailed instructions on this forum, such as this very useful bumper removal DIY. Someone with more experience would do it within a day. The instructions from JR are clear enough, though I had to read some chapters several times trying to understand what they meant - more illustrations would definitely help. But in general, I just would like to confirm - it's doable for sure. The kit has all the parts required for the install. Everything fits without any problems. The quality is excellent! My BRZ has been running supercharged for 10 days - everything works, no issues so far. I'm still learning how to use this power - above 4000 RPM it's a rocket! ![]() A note for the automatic transmission owners: if you haven't been driving much in the manual mode before, you would want to use the M mode more with the SC. Manual shifting definitely gives more control and allows to drive more smoothly. When AT downshifts on its own, it's just too much power on a kickdown! |
