any help would be good lol. thanks. (This is my first time doing any of this gauge stuff.)
Read it off of OBD2. The car already has an oil temp sensor.

I used a ScanGuage II through the OBDII and monitored Oil Tem, AFR, Water Temp, and Intake Air Temp. Worked great

My situation SEEMS like a fit of bad luck with the product. A hose that was supposed to be pressure sealed is not holding pressure properly and coming completely off the line. I have never read any accounts of this happening before and based on my communication with JR, neither have they.

My only warning is to second hand owners. I don't know what I was expecting, in terms of help from JR, but they were completely unable/unwilling to help in this situation. Reason: used kit. From all the glorious reviews I'd read about JR kits and customer service, honestly, I was shocked with how little interest the person I spoke with had once I said the kit was second hand.

The only advice I was given was to have shipped the kit before it was installed so JR could have inspected it before hand. Hopefully I will have the problem fixed by my mechanics soon and I can join the rest of you as HAPPY JRSC 86 owners.

So another funny thing. ever since flashing my ECU with ECUtek, before JRSC was a delicious e85 tune, My Engine oil temp reads out as "--" nada. lol. with torque app at least. While using ECUtek on my laptop it'll read engine oil temp

Torque may be reading the wrong PID.

You need to set up a custom PID in torque to read oil temp.

I'm trying to get more information from my mechanics for some of the questions you asked. I want to have as much information as possible before responding. Thanks for your email, I forwarded it to the mechanics so they could gleam any useful information from it. Your help is really appreciated.

You and me both... By Christmastime I hope to be somewhere close to *260* whp on 91 octane since my small town doesn't have anything better...

Sorry I think I misinterpreted your message lol. You are referring to California and the strict as hell emissions laws right? Just read over that again and realized that's what you are talking about lol.

For carb certified kits JR and vortech (I think) are your only options. That being said, these kits (for the one day mine worked perfect lol) really add that perfect umph to the car.

I'm not sure 300whp on 91 is a realistic goal...

I live in Bakersfield too, so I feel your pain with the lack of readily available higher octane fuel...

But I agree with @CSG Mike, don't expect 300whp on 91 with the JRSC alone. I hope that with that kit, and my catless headers/high flow catted front pipe, I'll be running in the upper 200 range. Ideally 280whp or so with a proper exhaust setup, from what I've been gathering so far.
