Just curious:

Anyone running, or planning to run, 4.56 FD with their JRSC kit?

Seeing how this kit/compressor/turbine makes and maxes out at 245-310rwhp (depending on tuning and running E85 or not), and will honestly never reach 350-400+ rwhp without major expensive changes (swapping in a larger more expensive compressor, fuel support mods, pulley, engine/block/head rebuild, etc.), I believe putting in a 4.56 FD will give it a bit more grunt and quickness…especially if you feel you still want “more” after the JRSC install.

JRSC + 4.56 FD ….your opinion?

I think this is what I would like to do (of course, dependent on this little thing, $6k)

Back when I had my vortech I felt like the gearing was too short. But that's just my two cents.

Honestly, I feel like I run through the gears fast enough already. Don't need them shorter at all.

Same here. I find myself skipping a gear some times. You get to speed SO quick!

Yep. When I was tracking at Texas World Speedway I could run the entire track in 4th with the exception of the straightaway. Then I could get up to 6th.

Though I also know a guy who is seeking his JRSC because he says it make tracking way to easy :P

I guess adding a 4.56 with a SC/JRSC kit is a nay then.

I know that track, one of the TX2K meets had their track day there. The speeds some of those guys were hitting on that straight were downright scary...

I've been at Laguna Seca, and cresting on the front straight, I didn't see anyone coming out of T11. Braking for T2 (andretti), I have two Viper ACRs on each side of me, DIVEBOMBING me into T2. Needless to say, they broke later than I did, passed on either side of me, and just took off. By the time I was at T5, they were already past T6.

I highly doubt you hit 6th gear, you were going on the slower direction which you could barely tap 5th gear. Us guys that are in the more advanced/solo groups barely tap the top of 5th/changing to 6th gear going Clockwise which has the better direction of picking up speed for the front straight much easier. Going CCW, you should only be in 5th gear, not even topping out the gear yet because of how Turn 13/14/15 works.

Are you saying that Vipers are faster than S2000s? That's unpossible.

There's only a slight displacement difference. Only slight....
