I'm not a track person never went to one but someday would like to do it in Connecticut i think they have one or up north. I just like my car to be supercharged so I can enjoy it more. I just like to make my car look super clean and fast. I'm not the type to meet up people and street race. I just want those extra boost to be available.

The CARB tune is quite safe at 9psi. To give you an idea of how plug and play the system is, it still uses the MAF sensor (despite maxing it out). In other words, it's literally an add-on to your car with no other modifications required.

The oil cooler has always been a questioned component of the system. Just to make it very simple, power output drops when oil temps and water temps increase. While in the heat of the moment, the driver will not realize that the engine out put is a little lower due to excessive heat.

Therefore, oil coolers are absolutely necessary to run safely for track use. Whether you are NA or FI, this is an absolute necessity. If the car is setup for pure street use and maybe a couple spirited runs, we suggest running a slightly different setup to reduce initial cost, however, the JROC kit is quite a good kit with quite a good core at the heart of it.

You can do it yourself. Get an OBD2 scanner or OBD2 bluetooth device of your choice, along with the appropriate app for your smart phone (Torque for android is what I use).

Check your oil temp when you come off track, or log it. You'll want an oil cooler immediately.

Larger pulley (although one is not offered), or a boost controller/wastegate welded onto the intake charge pipe.

However, after 28k miles and counting on the CSG car, I'm not particularly worried about engine longevity with the JRSC. We averaged about 7k miles per engine in our NA 2013, but our 2014 with the JRSC hasn't had any blown engines.

That's what I use. Work really well. Get a good quality OBD2 BT scanner that xfers data fast so your torque app updates quickly.

If you're never going to track, then you will be okay without the oil cooler.

JRSC + CARB tune, then add flex fuel kit of your choice (CSG uses the Delicious flex fuel kit, and also sells it), and get a re-tune.

Are you guys running multiple tune options or just the one that's retuned?

Hi having trouble understanding what you mean here. What happens at 7k miles? Is NA naturally aspirated or north america?

He's saying that he's blown several naturally aspirated engines (no forced induction) at 7k miles. The fact that his supercharged brz has lasted 25k+ miles shows the quality of the Jackson kit.

We were averaging about 7000 miles per engine when we were naturally aspirated on our 2013 BRZ with the factory tune, and zero powertrain mods.

Currently we're at a bit over 28k miles, almost all of it boosted, without issue.

I don't think you will "see" anything immediately. I have been tracking my car at stock power levels without any add-ons oil cooling wise, and have seen oil temps up to 265-270 on Road Atlanta. I use the same set up @CSG Mike mentioned, Torque on an android device, and backed off on the track when I saw those numbers... When you pay for that track time, you want to be out there, able to flog your car with confidence...
