It's more so 2,778–3,285 lb. You're looking at the most heavy model, which i think is the V6 and quattro.

The FWD one is the lightest, with the 2.0.

Believe it or not, the 1st gen is the most heavy, 2nd gen lost weight and the 3rd gen lost weight as well.

Quattro is heavy, we all know this.


But we forget, a stick is standard in this car, but you can get a DCT as well.

There's not many cars like this left.

(Yes, I know that appearance is a matter of personal taste, but I really don't like the way they look)

Sounds like they'd be using the new MQB platform being used on VW's as well.

Aluminum body panels, etc etc. The new Golf R shed a lot of weight as well. Iirc the cars are built on the same chassis.

I could def see a 2700lb curb weight.

I love the interior but really can't stand the exterior. They need to make the TT a more low slung car.

Love it but it's way too expensive here - it starts at $49k for the TT and $59k for the TTS. That is just insane, I can get an M235i with 30 more hp than the TTS and about 100 hp more than the TT for $45K CAD.

ABT Sportsline has unveiled their new tuning program for the Audi TTS.

Starting under the hood, the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has been equipped with an optimized ECU which enables it to produce 370 PS (272 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 60 PS (44 kW) and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). ABT declined to say how fast the car is but the standard TTS accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Besides the upgraded engine, the TTS can be equipped with a front spoiler, new mirror caps and a rear wing. Customers can also order a gloss, matte, pearl or metallic wrap as well as 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels. Other options include a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system, Alcantara upholstery and sport springs which reduce the ride height by 35mm front and 30mm rear.

Owning a 2015 Audi TTS definitely shouldn't make you feel slow in any way thanks to its 310 PS and excellent acceleration.

The stock TTS will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds if you go for the S tronic version - which keep in mind, is faster than what the old E92 BMW M3 was capable of.

But of course, the art of tuning is pretty much the art of not leaving "well enough alone". Performance-hungry customers will be able to take their Audi TTS to ABT where they'll get an extra 80 PS as well as more torque (from 380 Nm to 460 Nm/339 lb-ft).

ABT won't say exactly how fast their tuned TTS will hit the 100 km/h mark, but they do mention a 4.3 sec acceleration time for a "400 PS?" TTS in the video we've attached below.

Those who own the Audi TT 2.0 TFSI with 230 PS, get a little extra kick too. In fact, they get 310 PS, just like the stock TTS - this is actually a very strong performance upgrade. Genuinely impressive.

In terms of aesthetics, the ABT TTS gets custom wraps (gloss, matte, pearl or metallic), a custom front spoiler, mirror caps and a rear wing. Customers will also be able to strap on a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system, ABT suspension springs, as well as 18", 19" or 20" ABT FR alloy wheels.

Overall, this is a very good looking little coupe with borderline supercar performance. What's not to like?

According to Car & Driver, the upcoming Audi TT-RS will be offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

While the high-performance TT has always been offered with a stick, it appears the 2016 / 2017 model will follow in the footsteps of the R8 and be automatic only. There's no word on why Audi decided against the manual but in the R8's case they cited a low take rate and the improved performance that the dual-clutch transmission offers.

The news unfortunate but, on the bright side, the TT-RS will have an upgraded turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder that produces approximately 400 PS (294 kW).

The third generation Audi TT RS was spotted recently stretching out at the Nürburgring to make sure everything will be in order for the model's launch next year.

We've seen plenty of still shots with a more evolved prototype in these past few days showing many production-ready body parts and now the vehicle is back in a new spy video providing a better look at the range-topping TT model which will continue to have a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter turbo engine. Sources close to Ingolstadt have suggested the engineers will make some additional tweaks to the engine and squeeze more than 400 PS (294 kW).

All that power will obviously be channeled to a quattro permanent all-wheel drive system and it is believed the new TT RS will be available only with a dual clutch transmission. This hardware arrangement will enable the model perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in approximately four seconds en route to an electronically capped 155 mph (250 km/h). Audi could decide to offer an optional performance package raising the limiter to somewhere in the region of 174 mph (280 km/h). In addition, there also might be a higher-performance Plus version with more power, but that will likely come later during the model's life cycle.

In terms of design, we already can tell it will look significantly more aggressive than the TT S thanks beefier front air intakes, muscular bumpers and the typical RS quad exhaust. Added into the mix are those chunky wheels hiding enlarged brakes while a lowered sports suspension and some interior cabin upgrades are also on the agenda.

It won't come cheap that's for sure, since a €60,000 starting price is plausible taking into account the warm TT S kicks off at €49,100. Look for a public debut in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show, so an online reveal could occur as early as February.

Audi's all-new flagship TT was seen leaving a gas station in Granada, Spain yesterday, and was snapped on camera immediately.

Sources claim that the TT RS will be powered by an updated version of the RS3's current 2.5-liter turbocharged unit tuned to around 400 PS.

The new RS will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, as well as with an optional dual-clutch transmission, both using Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system as standard.

At CES 2016, we also learned that the upcoming RS will feature advanced OLED taillights as an optional extra, though Audi has yet to release any official performance figures.

Visually, this car reminds us of the Quattro Sport Concept, which had a 420 PS 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Since Audi does't mind putting any camouflage on it anymore, the RS' official launch can't be far away, so we'll learn its final specs.
