Why BBK for front only

Man, I still have a lot to learn I guess.

I was always taught that a tighter suspension can help keep the back end from "pulling up" since the fronts compress less. This helps keep better contact/friction with the ground, making rear brakes more effective.

I was also taught that friction produces more heat with more pressure than it does with greater lengths of time if the difference is only a few hundred feet.

I guess I need to recalibrate my thinking a little someday I will get this stuff down.

It all depends on forces involved, but the only thing missing from looking at it this way is time between braking applications.

Braking harder for shorter might build a bit more heat at that time, but gives the brakes more time to cool before you're on them again.

You're probably dead right for a single stop, but over the course of a lap you'll see that being too light on the brakes will actually hold more heat.

One thing being a better driver WILL do is maximize corner exit speeds, so you'll be scrubbing more speed off for the next turn.

There's a lot of bad information on the internet... remember, this is all just physics and chemistry

That's generally correct, but it depends on the corner and the car. In the case of the FRS/BRZ, because we're so low on power, this isn't always the case...

Or technically, on soft, then add force to threshold, then ease off
