I am glad you are thinking on my plane of thought. It is hard to know what to basically give away. You can not just offer an open map and charge for it (even if it very basic), because it can still be shared freely there after. So why would there even be a point in charging for it.

So now that we know we can not really charge for it (but maybe a support service), how and what do we offer. Like you stated I need to put food on the table for my family. I have thoughts about it a LOT, it is just hard to come up with what to offer.

I have developed a few things I have a hard time sharing.
1. Tip In Knock Adjustments
2. DI Adjustments
3. Fuel Control for DI and Port

It is hard to give certain things away, but maybe there are some other things we can offer. It is hard to say, as we have always offered locked tunes for nearly 15 years now, and changing that thought process is sort of hard.

Cheers,
William Knose

I expect to pay for a tune if its from a tuner who understands controls and Subarus (hard to find that combo.)

Are you saying you sell a basic Ecutek reflash kit including a tune that fixes the tip-in knock for a non-modified car? I have a little trouble understanding your store. I am more concerned with driveability and reliability than a HP or even torque increase.
