I still have my Miata, but it's always been a weekend/project car. The F150 Lariat 4x4 Supercrew Cab I had before, I don't miss one bit (but I have a 2wd Crew cab version of it now for work). I had a '10 Accord I bought new before that as a daily that I don't miss one bit & a '04 GTI VR6 before the Accord that was a maintenance nightmare. However, I miss a few previous daily drivers from days past; most notably my '91 Prelude I sold back in '99 & my first Miata ('99) I sold in '07'ish...

I had Volvo cars previously. And the only major thing that I miss is the analog equalizer because it retains higher quality over digital equalizer and the sun/moon roof.
The stock audio in the BRZ would not have much improvement with analog...but its a nice option. Definitely going to be upgrading the speakers and adding a sub before the year is out. |

I miss the hell out of my 13 Ram. Big, roomy, powerful, beautiful truck. But over a grand a month in ownership costs(gas, insurance, payment, maintenance, etc.) makes that loss a lil easier to cope with. The FRS is a completely different lady tho.

I had a 1990 5.0 mustang with a great suspension system Bilsteins, subframes, torque arms, alignment, braces, etc, etc. brand new motor (racecar/streetcar). Great trans flywheel, tune, full exhaust 4.10 gears posi. It was set up for autocross. I spent many, many $$ on it, and time re-engineering it. I don't miss it in comparison to my FR-S, in fact I spent as much on that as my FR-S cost new with a warranty...I don't look back at all. I know it is kind of comparing apples and oranges, but it was my toy at the time. I gained a lot of mechanical knowledge and experience from that. I learned what works and what doesn't on a "cheaper" car. I know what marketing gimmicks are in the aftermarket, and what not to do. It was way faster (in a straight line) and unreliable, yeah reliability, gas mileage, looks, handling and braking, I'd give up power for that anyday

Every once in a while I miss two of my old cars- my WRX and my Crossfire. The WRX because of speed, and the Crossfire because of sexy, and comfortable. Then I remember the WRX's turbo burnt out, and the Crossfire was numb to drive, and I feel fine with the car I have!

I don't miss my first car, an original rwd 626 coupe, though it did have a "poor man's 3-series" vibe to it. I do kinda miss the AE86 GTS that replaced it. I still have the 4AGE kicking around the garage. I definitely miss the 323GTX I had after that. That was a ton of fun to drive in the winter. Until it turned into a pile of rust... I don't miss the Integra one little bit. I have mixed feelings about the '08 and '11 WRXs. I sure miss the torque and the traction but not the lag or the lack of steering feel. The '08 was stock except for RE050 Pole Position tires. It was probably a better all-around car than the '11, less power and grip but better ride and less lag.
I am still not 100% committed to my BRZ yet. I can't decide whether to mod it or dump it for a new WRX or the 997 C4S that I keep day dreaming about. The BRZ with 40% more torque would match the '11 WRX for torque to weight ratio. A stereo upgrade, some sound deadening and lighter wheels with PSS and it might push the 997 out of my thoughts. |

Definitely do not miss my last DD, a 2000 Chevy Astro.
I do miss two previous cars though, my 1985 MK1 MR2 and my 1983 Camaro Z28/Targa.

My previous DD was a ratty old 4dr Civic from 1995 lol. I do miss it for economic reasons. Stupidly cheap on gas, dino oil changes, one-way insurance, reliable as ever, and if something did break, parts were peanuts to replace; lots of the work you can do yourself because those model civics were like legos. The space was nice too being it a 4dr and it was also a 5speed for that extra power. But these days and being older now, it was getting more embarassing driving that thing around lol. The A/C finally died and the rust was starting to get bad. It was the right time for a new car and I got the FRS as a replacement.

I do miss my Silverado. It was powerful and allowed me to take my dirt bike anywhere I want. But it was huge, thirsty and so hard to park. But I loved it because that was my first car
