My wife feels weird when we drive my car anywhere. Both when it was stock and now that it's lowered. She usually takes a sprite or sparkling water with her if we drive the BRZ. Every car I've owned since I've know her was lowered and her Scion xD is lowered as well...it's just something about the seating position in this car...not sure what it is.

I generally don't drive too spiritedly (super short commutes with few fun spots for me) but I make sure to tone it down when I have passengers. My girlfriend has never openly complained about the car, but she does maintain that she liked my old car much better.

I do have stiffer suspension than stock, and the only people to openly make negative comments about the ride quality have been my roommate and one of my childhood friends. I just told them to man the hell up!

I can imagine why they would say it's uncomfortable, compared to all the Camrys and whatnot that everyone seems to drive nowadays.

Me personally? I use to drive an '88 Celica (R.I.P. Jes) that didn't have any airbags, the AC didn't work, the power roof didn't work. She was basically a piece of shit,but she was MY piece of shit.
That being said, when I test drove both a BRZ and FRS, I felt like I was living the luxurious life.

All about perspective.
