My GFs only complaint is it's too "bumpy" and she has no "oh Sh*t" bars to grab onto like in my old Mazda3

Will coil overs help with making it a little smoother ride? I figured they would make it worse as the car is lower to the ground

You and I don't hang out with the same women. My gf would rather walk than own an SUV.

Still there have been occasions where I have had nauseous passengers, need to start practicing with water cups...

My sister hated driving my Lexus GS400 before I got my FR-S.

Because it was too cushy and didn't have enough feedback compared to her IS300.

My GF is usually too busy shifting gears and working the steering wheel to notice.

My wife actually finds the BRZ more comfortable than the Celica I used to drive, despite it having 15-in wheels (well... 10 year old car with suspension bits to match might be the issue).

I've never had her say she felt nauseous in the BRZ.
I did have her say that a couple times in the Celica (of course, that might have been the 3 year hiatus from manual transmissions when I got the Celi).

Try to monitor your clutch work and shifting.

ITT: people with girlfriends who are also into cars.

Every non-car person I take in my FRS has the same reaction to it: too bumpy, hard to get out of, uncomfortable, etc. This car is a total dude magnet, though.

Absolutely! However, only during spirited driving (twisties etc.) During 86 Fest a large number of us ~40 cars took off for a drive along a fun twisty road. I was in the middle of the pack and was cruising along. My wife then starts panicking and I had to pull over and let the rest of the precession pass me so that I could take the road much slower for her. She was miserable the whole time and has agreed to not go to meets with me anymore because she doesn't enjoy it and that makes me not enjoy it because I have to go slow for her.

However, being a passenger is a totally different experience because you are not in control of what the car is doing. One of my friends was a co-driver/navigator for a rally racing team. He had to stop because his body just didn't like the differences in what his body was feeling and what his eyes were seeing (root cause of motion sickness). So, no, your girlfriend is not a wuss. She just doesn't enjoy it in the same manner that you do.
