Chuckwalla, aka "Middle of Nowhere"
Rates depend on organizing body and track... you'll have to see who is hosting the event first, and go from there. There's no hourly rates that's easily accessible. -alex |

Willow Springs is great. Horse thief mile is my favorite, but very dangerous if you go off.
Don't bother with Adams, there's no runoff whatsoever and the track is covered in dirt. I've been there many times and have learned not to return. Apex in Perris is a little better but still not much in terms of runoff. |

I like all the tracks at Willow. SOW and HTM are both great choices for an 86. Big Willow is still a lot of fun, but higher speeds mean more potential damage. With that said, my wife did Big Willow for her first track day in my BRZ.

That's pretty good for a beginner imo. The rate is usually $90. I bought a coupon pack.. so I think I pay like $66 per track day. It's pretty damn cheap for what you get. |

I'd agree. SOW or HTM are good for a first time track day.
I asked my wife. She said SOW would be preferred for the first track day. She said slower overall speed and shorter course. The latter allowing more practice is choosing a line and all the other things going along with practice. On the big track over the course of the day she shaved over 20 seconds off her lap time. A big part due to the instruction of Doug.

Which ever one you go to and drive your car home from, otherwise I really like Big Willow and Streets of Willow.

My personal fun ranking:
BRP > CVR > ACS > WSIR > SoW I liked the ACS roval more than I thought I would. On the other hand, I didn't have as much fun at SoW as I thought I would. |
