+1 on Asphalt. It's got so much dimension, especially in the sunlight.

Asphalt looks nice, but I think it's not easy to maintain too.

I don't quite like red as it's not metallic paint and it can appear dull in day time.

I initially didn't like orange but after looking at it quite often in real life, I think orange is my second favourite colour after white. It looks very sporty and confident.
White makes 86 looks like a smooth car.
Paired with stock tail light, I think white looks the best and it looks very clean.

If you want rare - get a BRZ in their signature blue.

The only thing that I wish I could have as an option is a white 86 with leather interior in white stitching, not red.

TLDR: Get white.
Thanks! It's now official, I put down my deposit tonight for my Whiteout Monogram! Thanks for the help everyone. I feel I made the right choice for color. I went fully loaded on options, now I'm just debating the TRD exhaust... I've heard it makes it sound like it should have stock. Can the TRD tips be changed later for the JDM tips???
I'm sooo excited, this is my dream car...no looking bavk now!

Cool

A few quick questions for the whole process to those who have bravely gone before me...

1. When do you tell them to not drill holes on the front bumper?
2. What is the best way to attach the plate without messing up the front end?
3. This car will get new insurance through the dealer, how do I get a custom plate, do I set this up now or then as I want to reserve the name for my new plates? (I noticed in the pictures the TRD body kit has a nice clean plate holder.)

TRD body kit isn't a dealer option is it???
Also can I get the TRD duck lip spoiler switched from the Monogram spoiler as an option?

Thanks in advance fellow FT86ers!

I would say this picture does the color BLACK JUSTICE....
Compared to Asphalt color image below.
I have yet to see asphalt in person.
Maybe I will just have to go with the BLACK Monogram Edition. I was just concerned that the asphalt was supposed to be so much better looking than black and easier to maintain...hmmm, lots to think about. Scion has made the purchasing options too difficult.
That's my asphalt. I feel honored.

I really should add signatures to my pics.

Edit:
...wait did you just diss my ride?!?!?!

1. Just simply request it. You are the one buying the car, and You will be the one owning it.

2. attach the plate? Wait so you want a front license plate but you dont want them to drill holes in it. You can get one of those thingies (whatever those are called, I forgot) License plate relocaters.

3. Just follow the instructions on whatever website you go for plate registration? DMW???

No neither of the kit or the lip spoiler are "options" from your dealer. However if your dealer has access (like Carson's Toyota) to order JDM bits, you could order so. It's possible, but I say not an "option" because it's not a standard in North America.

Did you install a front license plate?
I was hoping we could get away with this in BC as the FR-S front end isn't ideally set up for one.

Was thinking if I had to I would get Hide The Plate

Anybody that has to have a front plate try this (I didn't realize it for months): my dealer installed the license plate mount upside down which is cool because the holes are in the black plastic part of the grill (who cares) leaving the painted surface intact and exposed (woohoo). Cheaper than a plate relocator kit with the added benefit of not having to worry about morons playing with it or trying to take it off.

I asked for them to install it into the lower grill, but its not upside down.

Now that I think of it, it might not be upside down. None the less, installing it under the painted part is the way to go! You'd think every dealership would do it that way in an effort not to p1ss off their customers.
