Voted other. I get my gas from Speedway, don't know if they're owned by someone else on that list or not. I mostly go there because my dad has always had their rewards points card and started me on it basically since I've been driving. I know other places have rewards cards, but I'm too lazy to switch. Shell would be tempting if they weren't in places where gas is typically more expensive, plus their premium is .30 more than regular, while everywhere else is .20 more.

It might all come from the same place but what's important is how the brand treats it from there and the additives they use in it. Those factors can make a very big difference. I've seen multiple tests on cars where Shell V-Power gave the car several extra horsepower. The difference was more pronounced on turbocharged cars with smarter ECU's programmed to take advantage of better fuel. It also keeps the valves and everything cleaner which will extend the performance of the car. And in the case of cars with gasoline direct injection, it can extend the life of your catalytic converter.

So no, they are not all the same despite originating from the same source in many cases.

I use Valero almost exclusively, not because of preference but because that's where my fuel card is and they are plentiful in my area. I have an up hill, mountain drive to and from work (90+ miles rd trip). I'm averaging 32.5 to 33 MPG. (93 Octane rating)

That's enough for me The icing on the cake is that I do not have crickets.

I don't use anything other than Shell 93 unless it's an emergency.

I voted other, since I get my gas at Kroger (supermarket). We almost always have 20-30 cents off a gallon so it's a nice incentive. From what I can tell it's actually Shell.

Their ethanol content must change however, because with some tanks I get bad crickets and some I have none...

I used to only put Shell or 76 in my cars but the last few tanks I've been getting Valero and my mpg seems to have gone up a tad.

I used to go to Costco all the time because it was cheap, then started using Shell because I SWEAR I felt like it drove smoother. But I also shop at QFC a ton, so I get "fuel points!" Saved $0.40/gal one day! : )

I'm a part of the shell bunch as well. .
Good poll by the way. I thought about doing the same, much better then people asking over and over again what fuel to use. . this is the one place to check.
