transmission fluid change diy:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19218

The dealership wouldn't change mine before the service interval and said that using different oil would void my warranty which is bs because motul gear meets the same standards as the oem fluid. Had it done by a local shop that specializes in subarus since I didn't have jack stands at the time. Next time I will do it myself

Also definitely get the mtec shifter springs. Those I installed myself and now that I have them and changed the fluid the shifter is way better

Oil pumps are a PITA and never seem to work well.

I'll help you do it or else I'll do it myself haha. It's cake. Motul bottles have attached 3-4" tubes on their caps, so I saved a couple incase I choose another brand, that doesn't have the attached tubes.

I've done a few NorCal's and I'm looking to do a couple more soon. You should see the build up of crud on the magnetic drain plugs. It's a lot less after the 3rd change. As for dealer issues, just tell them NOT to change it.

Yes. Contact the dealer or someone obligated to fuss with an AT.

Suction guns work well and only cost $15.
