I also got the Dezod and am happily driving around in Germany.
Combined with my completely modified intake, this beast is borderline tolerable on long drives but otherwise I love the sound from idle til full load across the board.
However, I had to do some noise canceling insulation in the trunk.

Only criticism I could think of: I don't appreciate the straight tips as much as I would some slightly angled ones.

Does anyone know how they got it to be so loud tho? I'm thinking of adjusting that a little so I can keep my eardrums even if I should decide on another manifold.

It's loud due to the bigger piping & straight-line small mufflers. Any exhaust with straight-line mufflers will be on the louder side of the spectrum. Even more-so when the piping diameter is increased.

You could probable add another resonator or muffler in the mid pipe.

You're the first person I've heard say it's loud. When does it become "borderline tolerable"?

I was wondering if maybe the mufflers were more of an artistic choice rather than a functional one, aka welded around a solid pipe rather than a perforated one.
And BTW, both dezod exhausts I know in Germany have by now acquired a golden tint due to heat.

About what borderline tolerable means to me: before I'd insulated the trunk I once drove 400km with the rear seats folded down. My ears really hurt afterwards. That was not tolerable. Anything that doesn't make my ears hurt is tolerable.

And sure, even with the loud intake I can have a somewhat normal convo while cruising. That changes when I hit the throttle. But damn, the car needed the additional insulation.

BTW my neighbor thinks the car now sounds like a tank. I do like that.

yea your just asking for it if you folded your rear seats.

where is this "gold tint" shown? in the under body or on the tips?

The whole exhaust has it and it shows on the tips, too. Good if you got gold rims, not so nice now.

For real?! I wish mine turned colors... It's currently coated in 20,000+ miles of grime & carbon.

Not quite .. It would need to get a further 30 to 40 °C hotter

As we have no speed limits on some of our road stages, the exhaust can get really hot. From the colour it has it should be around 230 to 240 °C at peak.

My Dezod catback is loud as crap. I have a borla uel, and a over pipe, with the hks dual resonated front pipe. Cold starts will wake people up, Its almost unbearable. But once its wormed up its sounds so good.

You do have the Borla tho, so i am certain that since the only thing I will do to my exhaust is the Dezod, it won't be as loud as yours.
