Most kits have minimal clearance, we just don't have a ton of room to mount things

Thanks for the tip - anyone from @Vortech or installer base cares to comment?

Thanks, very interesting build thread. Please let me know if you have anything notable to share about the AT-specific tune by Vortech...considering taller high gears, or any other angle whatsoever. I don't know much about tuning and I don't want to be a test subject for either an SC vendor or installer or tuner.

One of the members of my group here locally I believe has had hers installed. It has taken a few months and the car isn't even in the state, but last I heard the car has been on the dyno and put down some very respectable numbers on a 9psi pulley. I'll try to sift through the FB page and find some exact quotes. Not sure if this is going to be a one-off kit or a full blown retail item but I'm fairly certain that this has happened already.

Edit: Confirmed, it was indeed a Procharger setup and the car is at Procharger for the install. I'm guessing as a test car, as they were "making adjustments".

Interesting. So this is a Procharger branded kit and not a kit branded by another company just using a Procharger blower?

Definitely check out whataboutbob car. We tuned his vehicle with out standard off the shelf map. You are more than welcome to check out our feedback on these forums on our maps we offer for a variety of different forced induction kits.

Does KraftWerk have an AT version? Actually should there be any difference to the MT version apart from the tune?

It's all loss, I know, but I wouldn’t feel bad if I did this, sold the Lotus, and kept the boosted FRS for at least a couple of years.

My 2005 Lotus Elise with SC is very reliable and drives like a dream on track but it’s not a daily. I've had it for just over 4 years now and it's fully sorted out...but I like the idea of having one car that's practical enough for a daily driver, automatic so others in the family can drive it, that handles great on street and track (rwd and good suspension), with rear seat available if you really need it, gets less attention than Lotus, reliable, and simply fun to drive.

For those of you who boosted to around 240-280 whp, did it transform the car enough where you think that you might keep it longer?

...especially if you fall into the "it's my daily and I also take it to HPDE track events up to several days in a year" category...
I can see that you look at the numbers like I do. I can tell you that I had a 320 whp BRZ and while it did transform the car, it was not enough to make me keep it longer. I sold it when I felt the time and market was right. I lost my ass on it as you have come to the realization you will as well. I enjoyed modifying the car myself and adding the parts over the year of ownership. That doesn't appear to be the same for you however as you prefer to have a shop do the large build all at once. The BRZ was my daily, and I alway hoped to take it to the track, but it is harder when you have a racecar you can race instead.

@dp1 just go with a tune and possibly a header and try to enjoy the car stockish. That's what I'm doing and hoping it will tide me over for a while until I dump all our savings on devaluing my car

Plus I need more track days before I can exploit this cars limits as it is.

EDIT: Also maybe try to find somebody with a F/I FRS to ride in. I drove in a lightly tuned greddy turbo apparently ~210-250whp (passenger) at the track and it was a *blast*.
