you cannot take a nap, or have sex inside the tiny little roadster. you also not able to carry your own wheels or anything that is longer than your trunk space. That would make Gt86 a better purchase.

Yeah, I don't see the Miata and the 86 as being in the same category of car: sure, they're both a hoot to drive, but one is a practical daily driver while the other makes a better second car / track toy. The 86 is much more similar to an E46 M3 or something than it is to a Miata. The Miata is only marginally more practical than a Lotus Elise.

I'd argue the other way around, at least with the Elise you'd have a chance of catching the attention of a lovely lady as she walks by.

I've driven an Elise around for several days. You have way more dudes drooling over your car than women.

Well, that's pretty much true for any car in my experience.

Guys that still think that a car is going to get you sex are adolescents and if you can have sex in a FR-S then you are a midget. I have never bought a car thinking that it is going to improve my image with women (or with anyone). In my experience most women do not care what type of car you drive as long as you have a decent one and the ones that do care are not worth being with.

Looks like the new MX-5 will give the twins a some competition in the performance, fun to drive, category judging by all the reviews released today on the Euro version.

Ugm, I think you may have taken my comment a little too seriously. I guess I should have included a smiley face....

In the end, I'm sure the new Miata will be a great car for those that like them. I've driven them (actually several versions of them) and never found anything to love. It surprises me a little because I loved MGs back in the day.

Wasn't directed at you. There is a group on this forum (not just this thread) that thinks your car gets you laid. They know who they are.

Now, back on topic...............................

Try having a girl friend thats a gear head. Everytime we go for a spin. There is something a little more in her loving. Oh, and I know its going to be a long night if I let her drive!
