Numerous loyalty discounts, online payment/online notice discount.

27 yo with no accidents or tickets. 100/300/100 + 500 ded for collision and comprehensive.

My 2004 RSX was stolen in March and Progressive paid me $12.5k for it and it didnt get put on my driving history, which is awesome. Overall happy to stay with them.

Technically it IS on your record (not your MVR, which coincides with violations and convictions, but your CLUE report, which coincides with insurance claims) as a comprehensive claim. However, unless you have tons of them, a comprehensive claim or two usually won't negatively affect your insurance rates, likely because it is a loss that wasn't exactly your fault or due to your negligence.

I just got a quote from my insurance agent: $78 more per year than my '11 Golf TDI. That seems rational for 2 model years newer plus a riskier demographic. The BRZ will cost me way more in fuel than insurance, about $750 more per year in fuel, aggressively assuming avg. 28 MPG].

Just a quote from Geico this morning. I live in NY and I currently pay $3500 a year for my G8 GT ( I know NY sucks.) I just turned 25 yesterday and called this morning on the BRZ and it's only $2200 a year. Still a lot compared to other states but much better. I have 2 speeding tickets and 2 accidents (both found not at fault.) I have to do some more shopping though I think I can get it down. I'm going to do the online defensive driving course.

I got a quote from Geico as well for full coverage. I'm 23 and live in NY as well and it would only come to 1072 a year for me.

I just got a preliminary quote from Liberty Mutual (got my VIN from the dealer website, but the car is not in their system):

My current car (2007 Nissan Altima 3.5SL): $1,144/yr, $95.33/month
for:
-100-300-100 Liability
-$300 deductible Collision (with Liberty Advantage Plus)
-$300 deductible Comprehensive
-Rental Car Coverage

living in Metrowest region of Massachusetts (around Boston).

To replace this vehicle with the BRZ, I would pay $1308/yr, $109/month.
I'm 25 with no tickets or at-fault collisions.

I was expecting it to be a lot larger increase, so while I'd prefer no change or a decrease, I'm OK with this!

I got quoted $777 for the entire year with Liberty Mutual. Limited manual BRZ, 33 years old, married, no accidents, home insured with them too.

Seeing how you have Liberty Mutual, do you have their diminishing deductible option? I'm guessing so, since $300 deductibles aren't very common.

Actually that is my standard deductible (auto insurance offerings for Massachusetts drivers are a little wonky due to recent deregulation). I had requested a lower deductible back when my cash flow was a little tighter. I can afford the extra $200 if something happens now; I'll probably increase my deductible when I add the BRZ to my policy.

^ That makes sense. Ironically, MA is one of the few states that we're not licensed in, so I'm pretty much in the dark with their requirements and such haha (as you mentioned some "recent deregulation").

So of everyone's quotes, who got the best(cheapest) one for SoCali? Mine was $1633/yr for BRZ @ Wawanesa. Full coverage, $500/$500. 2 cars on policy, multi-car discount, good driver discount. No tickets, no nada. Insured is just me (26yr old male) and my mum (60yrs old).

The FRS would be $1622/yr.

A quote from Geico for me to replace my 2010 Golf TDI (4 door) went from $550/ 6 months to $660/ 6 months.
