My 12 mile commute from Roswell to Marietta took 8.5 hrs. I left work at 1:19pm and did not get home until 9:54pm. I stayed in the same spot for 3 hrs so I took a nap.
I'm from Utah but have lived in Atlanta for 10 yrs. The roads turned to shit in no time. Improper tires and hills caused a lot of people headaches. I moved the BRZ out of the garage to take a pic of it in the snow and the damn thing was stuck. It was covered in a sheet of ice. |

I don't think people get it. All of the businesses and schools of Atlanta were all released at the same exact time on 3 inches of snow, when driving slow basically turned it into a sheet of ice, where most people here don't have AWD/4WD vehicles and don't even know how to drive in this weather. If the businesses and schools were let out at different times then we wouldn't have a Snowpocalypse, it would just be snow. Just imagine your entire city being let off work and school simultaneously without snow, it would still be a massive traffic jam. Add snow/ice to the mix and it's just a shit show.
Other than that, I hope you guys liked my car lol. @Dipstik-sportech that looks like a blast, I'm pretty sure that car is AWD though right? Our cars would likely just spin all day.

I barely made it home from John's Creek to Woodstock in the FR-S. It wouldn't have been too terrible with better tires.
I got home and took out the Legacy

I wanted to get out and do a few spins so bad but couldn't find a good spot after all the traffic built up.

Doesn't matter what kind of 4WD car you have, it won't get traction on ice lol. It makes for great sledding though! Check out people using their neighborhood streets for ice skating & sledding on The Weather Channel haha!O and also the fact that people down here have NO CLUE how to drive in the snow, much less on sheets of ice.. just makes Snowpocalypse a sure bet! |
