There was only 1 car available and it must have been recently dropped off since they had to clean it while the paperwork was being completed.
Got in the car and thought it smelled kind of funny, all the windows were down at this point. Drove for a while and then rolled all the windows up, the funny smell got stronger... it smelled like weed.
So I assumed the previous renters smoked in it before they dropped it off and it still smelled since I took it not too long after, but i'm on my 2nd day in with it and the smell is still pretty damn strong like there's a stash hidden somewhere. I looked in all the obvious spots, under the seats, compartments, trunk, didn't find anything.
Probably going to call the rental company when they open to explain the situation so I don't roll up with a car smelling like weed and then be all like "wasn't me lol" and then have to fight some stupid ass charge (they charge fees for smoking).

tl;dr
Who wants to find the weed in my rental car?
what kind of car? there might be a hiding spot under the steering wheel, or where the fuse box is on the inside or perhaps where the spare tire/jack is.

happy stoner hunting

i rented one last year but it didn't seem to have that many places to hide your weed other than the places i posted above. Just call and complain that the smell is nauseating to you and you're very unhappy with the vehicle. that should get you something

You can exchange at any Hertz outlet and they'll most likely give you a free upgrade given your experience and on request such as these sometimes available at the PDX location:

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/vehic...e%20Collection

BTW, doesn't Subaru offer a free rental car for warranty repairs that take over a day like Scion?

My car is getting very non warranty work done to it lol.

Thanks for the suggestion. Didn't think I would be able to exchange it easily since it's a different city/location.

Apparently this holiday weekend is a big time for renting cars, so they didn't have shit.

I got to hand it to Mitsubishi, had I never looked at the key with the year on it I never would have guessed what year this car is.
They did a hell of a job making a 2014 look like a mid 90s car.

@Andrew025, that's hilarious in a sick way.

Plus the thing about the Mitsu is that the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty will still be in effect when it's sitting in the junkyard.

The mid 90s were the best years for Mitsubishi. Aside from them finally giving the US the evo in the 2000s, any Mitsu since the 90s can easily be overlooked in place of its competition. They lacked progression, where as companies like Mazda and Hyundai/Kia have really stepped up their game, in terms of design and innovation to spruce up their lineup.

So my birthday was a couple days ago, and the lady spoiled me a little bit ago. I posted this on fb. But for those who aren't my fb friend.

I believe I'm first in the PNW with one. So I'm stoked to have it installed and hopefully done before the mega meet.
