Did you at least try to contact them after you received it? I'm talking a phone call none of that pm bs. Also this is a great example of why you insure a package.....

You're going through an emotional rollercoaster right now as you just dropped good amount of change. You need to calm down and try to reach out to them tomorrow. They are a business and not at everyones' beckoning call all day. Give them a chance to make good, or if necessary go through insurance with the shipping company. I could understand you might be documenting, but 2 hours is not enough to go calling out a company. Give them a chance, otherwise contact Paypal and they will do an investigation.

Give them time to sort it out. If they insured it for only that much, then it will be on them to make it right. They should have packaged like it came from the factory or better. If they don't make right, then obviously open a claim with Paypal. They will probably put the funds back into your account as they investigate. Make sure they rule in your favor before spending that money.

I would give them a chance to correct the situation, before blowing them up. Nobody know if the damage was caused by shipping. For all anyone knows, the item may have been in perfectly good condition when it was packaged and shipped.

I think 48 working hours is a fair amount of time to give them to reach back out to you.

mike looking over the damage I am certain much of it was prior to shipping. however the fact that they dropped it into a box with a chunk of foam on top and a chunk of foam on the bottom didn't help. nothing was wrapped in anyway with protection. the pulley damage was possibly shipping. however I would be embarrassed to ship stuff out looking like that.

my other concern now is internal damage to the blower. if it took a hard enough hit to damage the pulley what is broken on the inside.
would you bolt it to your motor ?

If you are worried, then also have them pay to ship the blower to Vortech to have them check it out.

HERE IS THEIR RESPONSE TO ME.
[QUOTE=Chase Bays]I don't know your definition of trashed but you did purchase a used item so there is going to be some normal wear and tear. The pulley was changed out as you know but it should look perfectly fine. I think the washer could possibly be a little mis-shaped and slightly scratched, but if you're really being that picky about something so small and non-visible then you should have bought it new. But you saved over $1,000 dollars so I think you did the right thing. As for the lid, why don't you send me some pictures? Worst case scenario I buy you a new lid which will probably be $10 or less. As I stated previously, used item. The item is in great condition, but it's used. So there's going to be scuffs and scratches from the install, use, and uninstall. Nothing new there. Just send me some pictures and we'll figure it out.

Fair enough response. Send him pictures of what you expect him to replace and state that you would like to have the supercharger looked at by Vortech. I do agree that some scratches and wear marks are to be expected but nothing should be damaged enough that it effects the operation of the system.
