Before I take the plunge

Andre. Do you think that the codes you have recently seen are a direct result of the header install. Pretty sure I will be ordering mine around Christmas in the hopes it will arrive in April.

Just an idea...don't know if any of the hundreds of header posts have mentioned this, or not. If/when I purchase a catless header, I would consider re-locating the 2nd O2 sensor to the "down" pipe after the 2nd catalytic converter location. That should keep the CEL off with any luck. It shouldn't be hard to extend the wires and weld in a bung.

Really not sure.
After 2 years of driving the car hard, I think the coil has probably weakened just due to its location. Perhaps the header adds more heat to this area, but I don't think it was the only cause.

Which header are you looking to order?

That's the beauty of winter. I get to stew over this for 4 months. I am leaning towards the OFH simply because of price and my ultimate goal of OFT300, but Kenny's JDL sounds amazing.

I haven't had any check engine light on yet but the oft may have that dialed into the stage 2 tune

Good to know.
I kind of jumped the gun a bit with that comment...I didn't realize Andre had codes for a possible coil issue. Regardless, if anyone does have O2 related issues with a catless header, re-locating the 2nd sensor should help.

Props to Slick Automotive and

stay the fuck away from Frisbee tire. Andre was nice enough to swap out my summers for winters tonight, did a masterful job considering 8 of the 20 bolts were stripped by Frisbee tire and had to be replaced. Andre went over and above for customer service.

On a side note, Had the opportunity to drive Andre's car and the header is definitely a game changer for sure. What a difference. Once again thanks Andre. see you Friday.

A lot of those places use torque tubes. I own a few, and I can say that they're not very accurate, and they're probably using ones rated for 250ft-lb anyways.

As for stripping, that just means they zapped them on with the tool instead of hand threading to start them. I watched a friend do it after I told him not to.

Yeah, they were clearly started with the impact gun without hand-threading first.

The really sad part is that when you start them this way, you can still clearly tell they were cross-threaded as the gun struggles to tighten them, but they still rammed them all the way in and basically said F-it!

Luckily I had 4 studs on hand already, but it wasn't enough, we needed 8!
3 of the 4 wheels had bad studs.

I went Frisby back in 2001 with my Camry and 16" alloys because I assumed they would be careful with the rims - but no, they managed to scratch them in many places and wouldn't own up to doing it
I have an electric impact drill but I have never used it on wheels yet. Good old manual labour works for me and my good old CanTire torque wrench finishes the job.
@Slick I have another friend to send your way for 20" rims & tires for an 06 Charger soon. Probably some snows too

On a sad note, I won't make it out this Friday night but if it ain't snowing/salty out next Friday, I'll be out for the last time this season - I plan to store Hachi on the 9th.
