What's everyone's consensus on this? Should I go with a resonated (catless) front pipe, resonated and catted front pipe, or catted (unresonated) front pipe? Part of me, after listening to @DocWalt 's exhaust set up with the JDL Ultra Quiet Front Pipe, wants to buy the JDL UQ Front Pipe but am afraid that it'd still be a bit quiet with my exhaust set up. The other part of me wants to buy the catted front pipe, but I've read that unresonated front pipes, especially for this platform, will yield rasp and that's the last thing I'd ever want. So right now I'm in a dilemma haha. Either way more likely than not, JDL will get my business at the end of the day once I figure something out; I'll probably order an over pipe while I'm at it as well haha.

Here's how my current exhaust set up sounds:

It sounds pretty good outside of the car but in cabin, I can barely hear anything (which is great for the daily commute but I do want to hear some sort of grunt--not drone pls). Even when accelerating, while it does sound pretty good, I feel like it's not "loud" enough lol.
man that sounds real good, but if you do replace the front pipe make sure to get one with a resonator (or two).

These guys never stop working and we all know anyone could make a mistake or slip but not many stand behind their products and or mistakes. These guys are one call away to answer any concerns and it's very few the companies that do that now days. Can't wait for my parts and honestly glad to see JDL is a stand up group. Post pics guys, always excited to see more metal

Was told yesterday the lead time on headers is about 4-6 weeks. I ordered a full header back to midpipe, so I'll update again in August when I receive it! :p

There seems to be a lot of differing information right now as to the lead times for all of JDL's exhaust parts, but a lot of that probably has to do with your place in line, exactly what you ordered (whether it was just a front pipe or a full headerback combo) and obviously any delays they encounter from their vendors (which could change from day-to-day).

As excited as I get every time I see an update in this thread, it's probably best for all of our sanity's sake to just sit back, get a drink and wait until your new exhaust arrives

Yeah, I've accepted that it'll probably be 8-10 weeks for me. No delusion here.

Took me 3 months for my UEL. I was one of the orders in the back on the initial group buy that someone bailed out on. It was absolutely worth the wait. I just figured my car wasn't dying without the header and knew I'd be getting the best header out there for UEL. Having it coated too was icing on the cake. Also opted to have the overpipe coated since it's still technically in the engine bay. Anything past that, not real necessary.

Coating still not flaking to this day and holds in the heat real well. Be patient, and you can call the shop if you have any concerns or would like to see where your order sits.

I've visited the shop when I was in PHX and they work hard. I'll probably make a return visit in May when I'm back in PHX. Hopefully I'll get to see a turbo kit in person.

Can you tell me whether a too good resonator will not only kill rasp and drone, but also kill rumble?

Like this one:http://jdlautodesign.net/shop/ft86-u...et-front-pipe/

I am thinking to order this and UEL catted header.

I can tell you right now that the Ultra-quiet front pipe did not kill any rumble on my setup.
