I would suggest getting a nice set of wheels, tires, and then possibly a new set of springs and just enjoying it from there. Figure out what you want the most out of it and then decide which parts will get to your goal the best.

This.

If you care about handling the first things you do should be tyres, swaybars, bushings, and things of that nature. They're relatively cheap mods and will really transform the way the car handles in corners. Wheels can be a great 2-for-1 mod that can make the car look better and drive better simultaneously (hint: if you want a zippier feel then you want wheels that are close to stock size and preferably as light as possible while still being strong enough for street use). An exhaust is another easy place to start that will improve the driving experience a lot (sound can really make a car feel a lot more exciting) while also increasing performance slightly (think a couple of hp /ft/lbs) and potentially trimming some weight off the car (the stock exhaust is quite heavy).

As far as power is concerned, good luck achieving any meaningful increases for under $5k. These cars aren't like most modern cars which are already turbocharged-- you can't just take them to a tuner, flash the ECU and walk away with 30% more power for a grand. You'll either have to pay large amounts of money for NA mods that won't gain you much, or you'll have to pay large amounts for some kind of FI kit. Unless you really love your BRZ it probably won't be worth it to significantly upgrade the power, so I'd suggest driving it a lot to get a feel for what you do and don't like about it, and getting it to handle the way you want it to first. Then if you really love it you can think about doing something silly and making the car more powerful

Pretty off...to say the least. Why not do more research (i.e. searching) before spreading your 'conclusive' disinformation? Thank you.

Lets say you want to start with only spending $1,000 (both cosmetics and performance). For the best bang for your buck - I would suggest,

$495 - OpenFlash Tablet - http://openflashtablet.com/products/OFT/index.html
$260 - Rear trunk spoiler - http://openflashtablet.com/products/...ler/index.html
------------
$40 - HKS Drop in air filter - http://ft86speedfactory.com/hks-drop...s-brz-182.html
OR
$159 - SuperTek's inlet + filter combo (decent value i'd say) - http://ft86speedfactory.com/supertek...lter-1346.html

Should yield you some great results and decent NA gains. I think you will be very happy

I am buying the tablet tonight. Unfortunately SuperTek was not around at the time, so I bought a Perrin inlet tube instead. But seeing SuperTek's deal, I would have gone for that had it been later. I got my FRS March 2013 so yeah.
