I have no issue with the Scion band or the Scion FR-S.

However, I wish Toyota would have offered the US both the Scion FR-S and the Toyota 86.

The FR-S would be for people that want something cheaper and more affordable and does not care about the Toyota logo.

While the 86 would for the Toyota loyalist and those that want the features that are found in the JDM version.

This wouldn't be the first time Toyota would have done a rebadge in the US. The Land Cruiser and LX is a great example.

its design is sharp and really nice

does the logo make people think their car is worth less?

the only thing about logos that makes sense to me is removing them completely if you've modded your car so heavily that it doesn't even deserve the logo at all or that you just hate having your car a moving advertisement for the company it was built from

somebody help me out here
I personally believe that the toyota badge is simply more visually pleasing on the car. I don't necessarily love the idea that toyota pushed it through the scion branding in this country in order to market it at a younger crowd when it was inspired by the AE86, but maybe this car will start a nice legacy for the scion brand (or it will simply be its 15 minutes of fame, who knows).

I've seen when Toyota badges get painted, in the sanding process, if you use a finer grit sand paper and only sand in one direction it gives a brushed aluminum look (which is dull like the Scion Badge). But getting paint will probably give a more even look like the actual Scion badge.

Now to get off topic along with the rest, I wear Toyota badges to give the car its heritage back on what it was built from. The engineers didn't use an 86mm Bore and Stroke by accident.

Count me in as one of the ones that just doesn't get it.
Clearly you don't know much about these cars if your response to "I don't want a scion badge" is to get the subaru...

Subaru model has a totally redesigned bumper that (IMO) looks awful. It was also way harder to find when the twins were first released. It is also more expensive.

Anyone who wonders why ANYONE would rebadge then check your ownership and let me know what it says.

Mine says...
MAKE: TOYOTA
MODEL: SCION FRS

Usually the badge on the car reflects the make of the car..."I just don't get it??"

Seems more like an OCD thing than actual purpose to me. Does that also mean that if you (asking anyone who swaps badges) were to hypothetically buy any Scion model you'd swap the badge for a toyota badge? I feel obligated to say no offense in advance because forums tend to go all "flamy" way too fast over nothing.

Here's a site I found a couple months ago with a few options: http://www.nengun.com/grazio/toyota-emblem-set. None with that silver look but some different options at least.

Lexus didn't exist in Japan for a long time, so yes, most Lexus cars were rebadged Toyotas. Scion brand is the same thing all over again, and the hate the brand gets is a bit absurd.

Also, hate to burst your bubble, but you buying an FR-S ensured Scion's continued existence. Before the FR-S it was a failing brand...

Now, ignoring the whole Toyota vs Scion argument here...

Very simple. Matte clear spray paint.

You're welcome.

I went with Toyota badges because JDM tyte yo.

Actually I'd just rather associate the car better with the AE86
